Nick zipped to each and every vehicle that looked familiar to him, following the time he knew from their routine in their day to day lives. Sadly however he soon had no choice but to try to be quicker than his partner. While there was many a mammal that went about a routine, there were others, a majority at that, that didn’t. Nature had gifted foxes to be faster than rabbits of course given that they were the natural predator to the smaller.
He was sure however had it not been for his training in the academy that he wouldn’t stand a chance. Thankfully he had though, but he still stood at a disadvantage with his hearing not being quite as great as hers. And he still had another thirty minutes before another round of mammals went about their routine.
He wasn’t a quitter though, not since Judy had encouraged him to keep trying even when defeat was almost certain. So he used what she told him and taught him, straining his ears, looking around and focusing on the meters. He found himself at one-hundred and fifty tickets before long. But he knew better than to get cocky just yet and he wouldn’t be gloating just yet either. Every second he spent typing a gloating message was another second she could be printing a ticket out.
He got his two hundred soon enough, not even bothering to turn and look at mammals who yelled at him when finding the tickets on their vehicles. The next group of routine abiding animals had come and he set to ticketing them when their meters expired along with others that ran out of time. By the time he was done he had over two-hundred and ten. Only then did he smirk and pull his phone from his pocket, snapping a picture and sending it to her phone along with a message.
[Nick:] Two-hundred and ten, Carrots. How are you doing?
He allowed his curiosity to get him now as he turned his eyes to the clock above the screen. A few minutes until noon now and the begin of their lunch break. He wondered how well she did, wondering if she would surprise him yet again and be well over his own score. He wouldn’t be surprised.
◘ - Judy’s adrenaline was working itself up on max at this point, rushing over to each
and every source of ´Ding´ her ears could catch. Very rarely would this be
anything other than an expired parking meter, causing the rabbit to rack up
a good amount of tickets under her belt quickly.
This quickly brought a lot of confidence into her, bringing her right back to the
first day as metermaid. As always, a crap job, but you had to do what you could
with it. Two hundred tickets was the score that time, now, she had to work even faster.
Unfortunatly, she was confirmed to be in a false state of security the moment
she had recieved the text message from him. Two-hundred and Ten? That
couldn’t be right. She wasn’t even up at two hundred!
[Text to: Nick:] What?! I’m only at 195! D:
While she may have been physically faster than the fox, the time she spent
trying to ‘Console’ with the upset animals that came up to yell against the ticket
given. What a bad way to lose time!
[Text to: Nick:] Ugh… where are we eating? Are you heading to the “Car”?
