Hi there!

My name‘s Huxacat (hux pronounced with an oo sound), but you can just call me Huxa. I use they/them.

I‘m probably not gonna be the most active around here. If I do end up posting anything it‘ll probably be some fandom/OC art stuff. I like writing aswell, but dunno if I‘ll post much of it. You can talk to me in english, portuguese or german, though I‘m not the most proficient in german. Ich verstehe fast alles, aber meine Wortschatz ist nicht die beste. (I understand almost anything said, but don‘t have the best vocab)

Rushed to be able to finish in time but here’s my final AF attack: Ninnak’an/Nina by user BatcatArts! I have veeery little experience in drawing backgrounds, so pardon it if it looks a bit janky. The OC herself is adorable imo, and her alien anatomy was very interesting to draw! Artfight was honestly very fun this year and I’m gonna try and participate again next year too :D

So I may have gotten ever-so-slightly carried away by trying to speedrun the WC sticker album, given I found out about its existence the weekend before the finals. I’m 77% done with it and am gen considering js making the missing players in tomodachi life and printing out custom stickers of them lmao. I can atleast say I finished this attack. This lovely cookie is Mourning Velvet Cookie by the artist GRUESOM_E! I tried out a gradient map for the first time and Im very happy with how the rendering looks! Also, if anyone knows how to/if it’s even possible to change an attacks description thingy (the one that calculates the points) lmk how bc I wanna change the one for my last attack.

Had some time to spare today, so I made my first attack! The OC is WingRunner by user Pawsforone. Very little experience drawing non-humanoids (I think this specific kind would be called a feral? Correct me if Im wrong here) , but I really liked the design, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Tried out some fun effects on it to give the piece a lil more intrigue too :]

(Summary of her description):

Méi (or simply Mei, for ease of writing) is the protagonist/point of view character of her story. This is her at the very start of it, where her life is still going regularly, for the most part, and she isn’t aware of her precarious position in the thousands of years long conflict that plagues the world. Mei was the only child of the Western Dragon family, though she ran away at a young age. By fate? luck, she stumbled upon the people who would become her adoptive father and elder sister, who helped her grow into the person she is today. Her best friend, however, is her cat companion. He has a very interesting, beautiful fur pattern and always stays by her side, even though her dad didn’t quite like him at first.

Wěijiàn Qíng （葦檻暒）

(Won’t post her full description here but Ill put in the summary)

Qíng (or just Qing, for writing efficiency) is a central character in the overarching narrative, being Mei’s older sister and one of the “main cast”, so to speak. At this point in time, she has been cut off from her biological family, by her own choice, and lives in the capital city with her mentor/her father-figure Silver. Qing spends most of her time aiding in running the medicine shop, where she does most of the delicate work that needs to be done by hand. She’s well-resolved, independent, and pious; the perfect mentee/daughter and sister. That’s exactly who she wants to be, and any complicated thought gets dragged deep, deep under the mirror perfect surface, until even she can no longer see it.
