“So I was looking up that dream you told me about, and like I thought, paintball has a lot of interpretations…” He tapped the page of the book opened on his lap, too excited to look up and check if the person who had approached him was who he was meaning to address. “You have potential to accomplish something great, but have to be careful about being ambushed— both literally or figuratively, I guess— by people around you. Even the color of the paint has meanings. Isn’t that… cool—?” He glanced up at the end of his sentence and trailed off, his smile slipping from his face. “Oh, I, uh— you’re not who I thought you were. Sorry.”
“No, no, keep going. That was riveting,” the Belfast native teased, sitting down beside Cole, leaning into his space, honey brown eyes skimming over the inked words printed on the page. “This ambushed thing, does it say what kind of ambushed?” She raised a brow, looking up to meet his gaze, red varnished nails dragging through his soft curls at the base of his neck, twisting a brunette lock around her finger. “Like... a pretty new girl stealin’ ye’ away for the day?” Her fingertips trailed featherlight along the fabric of his shirt over his shoulder, head tilting some. “Feel like helping me put together some furniture? I’ve been putting it off for ages and it’s so tedious doing it alone.”
“Any tips for a hangover?” Connor said as sarcastically as he could. Of course this was a familiar problem to him, and he knew there was really no good cure for it. Sure, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to go clubbing in the middle of the week, but last night had totally been worth it.
“I feel like my heads gonna explode”
“Yeah, drink water when you’re downing shots,” she muttered, a cup of coffee held delicately between manicured hands. She’d added some Bailey’s to the mix, mostly to combat her own minor headache, not wanting to go through the effort of making an actual drink. “A Bloody Mary will fix that right up, though. I wouldn’t mind ye’ gettin’ me one as well.” While her own hangover wasn’t detrimental, she wouldn’t ever pass up an opportunity for another drink. If she could get Connor to get her one, even better.
Of all the angels that enchanted story books, the fallen ones were always my favourites. To know that demons were once the celestial beings of the sky – wings clipped before their time, damned to a life of struggle – made them far more heroic to me. Everyone knows that Lucifer was God’s favourite.
Heedless Harleen O’Hara lived her life with hedonistic liberty. Her days encapsulated a series of adventures, filled to the brim with exuberance. Never had I met someone who more inhabited the present than that of the Belfast beauty. She herself was a tempest. Every bat of her eyelashes brought beautiful chaos. Every sound from her lips unleashed addictive havoc. She waltzed through life like a butterfly, eyes drawn to her extravagant beauty; she humoured some with her colourful presence – but soon enough she was gone, an unreachable speck of technicoloured elegance on the horizon.
Teeth marks and kiss-prints stained her lovers like murder clues – for to fall for Miss O’Hara was in itself a killing. Oh, she’d love you all right. For one night, she would pour her heart and soul into another. She adored them for their eyes, as bright as the ocean, or the curve of their down-turned lips, or for the way they finished their sentences somewhat – hesitantly…
But a night was all. Then, like the tides, her adoration subsided leaving shipwrecks in the hearts of men. To love her was the most bittersweet of affairs. To fall for her was suicide.
i’m hopped up on cough syrup to breathe and i’m drinking tea and this is my second intro so lets just *youtube vc* dive on in. u kno the drill, triggers under the cut!

tw: blackmailing, death, cheating
born in belfast ireland to a very wealthy family, she’s very used to living in the lap of luxury, and when her mother lost her fortune, that didn’t go away, it only gave her incentive to find that luxury again.
harleen definitely has a bite to her. she’s pretty quick-witted and quick to anger, though she tends to forget about it pretty quickly. in her words: life is too short to spend it angry, have a drink!
100% will use people for her own gain with no remorse
shes a neutral evil tbh she pretty much looks out for herself and doesn’t mind throwing other people under the bus to do it, though she will help out a friend in need for a returned favor
those people she throws under the bus? tend to be married men
before coming to aurora bay she had once made a life for herself when she came to america by dressing up in her best dress and glossing on some red lipstick and dragging men back to her hotel room with pretty words and wide, bambi eyes
harleen hates cheaters, ever since her mother’s last husband ruined her and left her a broken shell of the woman she once was, and that’s why she would justify taping her encounters and blackmailing them into wiring her a set amount of money each month
she comes off as careless, another pretty face with done up nails and perfectly curled hair that seems out of place in the often times more skeevy places she tends to frequent for a good time. always dressed to the nines, even to go grocery shopping tbh
surprisingly, falls in love with everyone she meets somehow. not fully usually, but despite her stance on true relationships she can’t help but love certain things about certain people. their eyes, their laugh, their freckles, things like that. she’s a cynical romantic p much
also despite her stance on true relationships, she was married from the age of 19 to 21, to a much older man that she actually grew to care for after having been using him for his money ( with his knowledge tbh he was lonely and harleen was willing and it was pretty much an arrangement to start off ).
he grew ill, a heart disease taking his life at the relatively young age of 48, a saddened harleen had to deal with whispers and rumors that she’d had something to do with it because he left the entirety of his inheritance, life savings, and stocks to her.
with that money she’s basically set, and when she found aurora, she bought herself a home, liking the island as the dreariness reminded her of home
her aesthetic: red lips, lingerie, wine, stella rosa bottles, tangled sheets, the rays of sun through sheer curtains, rose petals in a bath, coffin nails, expensive makeup, white roses, money, rose tinted dream like sequences in movies
some wanted connections off the top of my head? friends, frenemies, mutual hatred with that ~saucy~ undertone of not actual hate, and really anything you wanna brainstorm! her bio, stats, and plots should be up sometime soon!
her pinterest board: xxx
like with bowie, just hmu for plots or like this and i’ll come to you!
wow there are men 40+ years old on tinder who really think someone as young and beautiful as i am, would want anything aside from their money. devastating.
