If you find yourself unable to get a sentence out without being spoken over or interrupted, the INFJ will be the one looking at you, waiting for you to speak.
Although they may appear standoffish, INFJs are very sociable and kind once you engage with them. You might even think of yourselves as friends, despite the fact you still know little to nothing about them.
They will always seek deep and meaningful conversation, whether it’s asking you about your childhood or what you think humanity’s purpose is here on earth.
INFJs will almost never initiate a date / get together. And even if you’re the closest of friends, they will likely decline an invitation to a gathering with more than 5 people. However, if the INFJ is already doing something/going somewhere, they are much more likely to invite you along, especially if they really like you.
INFJs are eager to please and hate conflict. They will likely back out of an argument to keep the peace, or they will provide a very reasonable conclusion that takes both sides into consideration and appeases everyone involved. If they do engage in a conflict, they will immediately regret their life choices.
They like to plan things. Not to the last detail, but they prefer to plan to be spontaneous.
They are very bad at articulating things verbally and often struggle to find the perfect word. But their writing is beautiful and a much more effective communication method.
They are pretty sensitive to criticism, mostly because they’re already perfectionists who have picked their work to pieces a million times over before sharing it. And if you take a shot at their personal character, it will leave a mark. They welcome constructive criticism though, contrary to belief. All they want is to improve themselves and the world around them.
They often have big aspirations that are usually geared toward bettering humanity/the world, but little motivation/energy to actually accomplish their goals. 9/10 they are spiraling down another existential crisis.
They’d prefer to be the right hand man in a project, where they have enough creative liberty and control over their own work, but they don’t have the pressure of leading a group.
On the surface, they appear to get along with just about anyone. But they have one or two people they outright loathe, and the venom they display always surprises you.
They don’t make much sense, and they appear to be full of contradictory traits. You might have a hard time figuring out just who they are. Or you might just think them boring, since they never share much about themselves / don’t seem to have a very loud personality.
Despite their emotional intelligence and intuition, when it comes to observational skills of direct physical surroundings, the INFJ simply...has none. It is not unusual for them to ask something like, “Has that building always been there?” Instead of grounded to reality, they will often be in their heads / looking up at the sky.
