hello :D i'm nidhi, and this is my study blog for the next 50 days. these are quite possibly the most important 50 days of my life till now, with my preboards, my entrance exams and my board exams right around the corner.

i'm a high school senior, with only a couple months left, and i have my law entrance exams in december. it is a very very very scary thought, one i hope will be less scary soon as i progress.

about me: i'm 17, i'm queer and i go by she/they pronouns :D i'm an artist, and i designed my banner and pfp! i love to read, draw and write, and i adore music. my favourite artists are sufjan stevens, mitski, big thief and hozier :D

i am scared of many things, but fear fades.

Barty likes Regulus's eye color because it reminds him of the cloudy sky the day they met... he also likes how they get smaller as he laughs and how they sparkle under the glow of the candles on his study table.

Barty likes Regulus's perfect face and has asked him, more than once, if he's sure his family practices inbreeding to stay pure because it's impossible for someone as beautiful as him to be the result of such family unions... he also likes the way he grimaces to keep from laughing.

Barty likes Regulus's laugh and all the variables it has... he's seen him laugh quietly at tedious dinners, faked at Slug Club talks, sarcastically in front of Mulciber and his friends, and truly while playing Quidditch or performing a new charm the right way.

Barty likes to watch Regulus play quidditch because there's a certain freedom in his soul that you'd never see when he's walking down the halls.

But if you ask him... Barty will say that he likes Regulus's ass. Because he can't let the others see how obsessed he is with the little king.

I'm not sure if saying this goes against fandom etiquette or not, because it technically is criticism, but here goes nothing:

I'm BEGGING authors to start researching about the stuff they write.

1. i, as an Indian person, am always so weirded out by how depictions of Indian characters in FF are always borderline stereotypical, if not cartoonish. no, i won't hold fanfiction to the same standard as published work, but it's so borderline racist how james is only depicted as Indian to make him "exotic" and so yall can give him a tan. there's more to being Indian than just having darker skin and butter chicken yall. imagine growing up as a poc in the 1970s in England, a mere few decades after India's independence from the Brits???

2. if you're writing about mental health struggles, there needs to be a bare minimum amount of research done. genuinely, there's a point where instead of raising awareness about said issues, it almost becomes romanticisation. mental health issues aren't just plot points to introduce just to make a character soft or weak. there's nothing wrong with flawed depictions, because everyone makes mistakes, but yall, research is so important while writing about sensitive topics.
