........The.......Fun Police? The words strike him in the ego like a freshly sharpened dagger, and worse? It twists, it drags, it murders him with a thousand cuts. His once damp skin turns drenched with sweat as the million-digit numbered list begins to compile in his head of all the ways he has messed up, and he was somehow wrong in this situation.

"Ghh ⸻ !!!!" Why did he say anything? Especially when men like this would surely misunderstand him and take offense. The salary man points to a balled-up piece of paper that had bounced off the trash and sat on the sidewalk. "No...no of course not but..." Doppo looks down pitifully at the trash. "..but you dropped it..I know you meant to turn it into a game b-but-!" He points at it again to emphasize his point.

It's no use, he looks like an asshole, like a total jerk trying to play civilian police. WHAT IF THEY THINK HE'S A VIGILANTE? "ah..." His head spins as he waves his hand erratically to dismiss his words. "F-forget it! I'm not any law enforcement!"

Instead, the man looks to the other and he crouches down while making eye contact with the prolific litterer - and he tosses his trash away for him.

Doppo bows deeply. "Forgive me, have a nice day." Then he speed walks away.

E.L Medical Co. was struggling in innumerable ways. The workload was unforgiving, and the senior executives merely swung down the hammer brutishly. The nails being smacked down were rusty, ill-fitted, and, subsequently, abandoned their posts. The lack of employees began to reveal the fissures in the job as they're pushed to an exhaust point.

Doppo passively listened as peers gossiped about a temp service being employed to pull bodies into the grinder of their company. The idea makes him anxious for his department, he already struggled with those in his circle, and now to add a stranger. It turned his stomach, but he had to push all those anxieties down. His bald boss threw the responsibility of training and taking the temp under his wing on Doppo.

Of course, this was expected of him. Always remain humble and bow to the superiors - and always remain gracious and patient to new hires. It was hard when both sides didn't respect for him.

Walking into his office he sees a man sitting and waiting for him, with a hard swallow he approaches from behind. "um..good morning. Are you from the temp service?"

Doppo extended his sweaty hand out to shake, but as the man stood a shadow is cast over him. Immediately his eyes grow wide as he scales the man from his feet to head in fear. W-why was he so tall? He's really muscular too?! Did this guy work in an office ever?! Doppo takes a step back, physically intimidated as he stutters out. "Wh- welcome! I'm k-kanonzaka! I'm in sales......"

GOING TO BED but I want this on my blog because 1. It’s so cute I’ll kms and 2. It’s a good small insight to the friendship he and hifumi share. (This is audio from their drama CD) recreation for hifumi and doppo involve a night of karaoke + alcohol. The two share a combined fondness for music and performing so it’s a true way to unwind. They’re locked in their box, empty snack wrappers and bottles of beer littering the table. Hifumi becomes more excitable and loud as he sheds his host jacket. Doppo wraps his neck tie around his forehead and is emboldened to proclaim frustrations or true emotions he’s hidden away.

Fun fact: The song they're singing is "Otoko to Onna no Love Game" - the song goes back to the 80's and is a popular duet option in karaoke between couples. First performed by Tetsuya Takeda and Yoshimi Ashikawa on an advertisement during the showa era.
