ok this is genuinely such a non-issue but something that lowk peeves me in the wof fandom is when people say "hot take!!! make fluffy icewings" like. this hasnt been a hot take in years?? this is a piping cold negative kelvin take ??????

like obviously theres nothing wrong with drawing icewings with fur or skywings with feathers—i dabble in the former with certain designs, but at the end of the day, it quite literally is not a hot take. 75% of the icewing fanart i see has them with fur. it's an interesting concept, sure; but it is not a unique one, it isn't revolutionary, and it certainly isn't a hot take.

another thing i want to say is—stop limiting yourselves to only ever-so-slightly deviating from canon!! the best wof designs ive seen on this app are the ones that offer something new; the people who create intricate traditional clothing pertaining to each tribe, the people who draw their dragons with heavily inspired elements from real animals, the people who aren't afraid to give their characters extra tails or six horns or bizarre colors and patterns, the people who create evolutionary adaptations and subspecies within tribes—you get the gist.

and canon-complaint designs are super cool as well!! by no means am i saying to stop making ocs that adhere to wof's in-series standards.

what i mean is this: have fun with your designs and stop fixating on trying to follow a "hot take" that has been reiterated time and time again. make your ocs the way you want to do so, but i prithee, enough with the fabricating of hot takes that have been repeated ad nauseam. it's okay if you give your icewings antlers or fur, nobody is going to come for you.

Not a bold take here, but I believe nevertheless that our current way of producing and consuming electronics (I speak globally here) is not sustainable and built on huge human suffering. On the logistical level, virtually all of the world's microchips are made in a single factory on Taiwan because every single technology company outsourced it to them. Any conflict or disaster could simply stop the delicate supply chains that have their point here and make anything related to microchips, that is, our entire lives become much much harder. It is, in fact, very likely this might happen in our lifetimes and might lead to a major crisis in the first world.

This does not mean that computers or robotics shouldn't get produced anymore because that's a stupid idea by jokers. It means that the world needs to rethink how we make and consume electronics. Stupid fashion items like iphones are only possible because of this system; a tool, like a smartphone is, a very useful tool, shouldn't be needed to be replaced with each new model but endure. Computers should last longer and be upgradeable. I'd even go as far as to say that the power of a device should be proportional to its function; if a rugged brick phone can do the job, it will do the job. The exploitation of African countries for mining cannot continue, any international trade must be done in their terms and with the rights of their workers fully respected, no matter the price the end consumers will have to pay.

This cannot happen in a world where computers are seen as luxuries instead of tools and where capitalism creates demand.

instead of queen wasp ACTUALLY being the big evil in arc three, it's actually like. this mind controlling plant. and it's being puppeted by the corpses of some random human and a dragonet from the scorching. or whatever. and the arc three protags do the care bear stare and this solves the issue
