So- I am kind of back. And I owe everyone an apology. I know I have been unforgivably rude leaving this blog all of a sudden - unfortunately, I have had many problems back during these months, which had priority over any other aspect of my life and that left me no time at all to spend here on tumblr (and frankly, they also made me feel completely disinterested in roleplaying at all). Now things are stable, even though they aren’t exactly fixed, and I feel well enough to come back here. Of course I understand that after two months you will not want to revive a thread that you have probably already forgotten, which is absolutely alright for me. However, I guessed that I ought to give you all an explanation and tell whoever might be interested in still having a mutual follow that I will be back on a different blog with a different url with a fresh start. So, here it is. I will keep this blog for a while to make sure that everyone sees this apology and explanation for my behaviour, and once again I am truly sorry. I had a lot of fun on this account. See you all

Richard giggled while his face got red. “Fine, you go ahead and make fun of me. I am sorry. I found it a little odd too. I thought you might wanted to blackmail Jim and need the pictures for that but this is fine too. No problem, I’ll take your pictures.”

It took him a second too long than what he would have liked to admit to finally if not realize at least start to suspect what was wrong with the whole thing, and although it seemed to him to be an highly improbable explanation, it was also the only thing that could have explained his answers. "You are not Jim, are you? Either that or you are playing some mean trick on me." but as far as he knew, Moriarty wasn't really the kind of man to waste time playing jokes when there was business to discuss. It was even more improbable than the chance that this giggling guy so sincerely confused by his words might have been someone else - a twin, perhaps - but not Jim. Even the chance that it might have actually been a clone was more probable actually. "Who on Earth are you- or who are ou pretending to be?"

John really wondered what Irvine meant by ‘thanking’ Sherlock, but he didn’t dwell on it too much. Mostly because Irivine had changed the subject to one that required a bit more of John’s attention - Moriarty. Or rather, the return of Moriarty. Thankfully, John was just happy for the distraction. The thought of Sherlock seeing Irvine again wasn’t an image that John needed.

He let out a deep sigh at that and he nodded. “Aparently so.” John said. He was still unsure of how he felt about Moriarty’s return. On one hand, he doubted that it was really Moriarty. Why hadn’t they seen a video of him? Why was it only an image with just his mouth moving? Of course, it raised doubt in John’s mind. But on the other hand, he knew very well what Moriarty was capable of, of what sort o puzzles he liked to throw out just for fun. If it really was him, then this was just like him, honestly.

"Sherlock’s been in a bit of a…frenzy about it." John said, and that was explaining it lightly. "He’s trying to figure out if it’s really him or not and…no one knows."

"Well I guess that being in a frenzy about him is the least one can be." Irvine considered quietly, more to himself rather than John - he had hoped with all his heart that maybe the answer would have been different than what he was expecting and, deep inside, knew to be the truth: he had hoped that they might have already found out that it was actually... well, he didn't know himself. It was crazy, but the most probable explanation was that he had masterfully faked his death too and managed to hide just like Irvine had done all that time. "Is it the kind of frenzy that makes one go around all excited to have something knew to think of or the frenzy that makes a man curl up on a couch terrified because a criminal mastermind might be looking for him to play some sadistic game?" he asked curious. "Of the two I don't know which one I would prefer, since he is probably the only man who can ever stop him. I really wish I was you in this moment." he concluded with a sigh, almost rolling his eyes theatrically - he guessed John wouldn't have mind: he must have been more than used to dramatic reactions, after so much time living with Sherlock.

Mary laughed. “Never a dull day in this house,” she said. “So anyone catching your eye these days?” She was curious about him. He was interesting, charming, and very attractive. All the qualities Mary liked in someone. “You must have women…and men falling at your feet.”

Irvine couldn't help but smirk at her words - pride was easy to fuel in him, and he just shrugged. "Not as many as you would think." he said - lied a little, and just because of the already mentioned pride: it was clear that it wasn't that way, but he found better not to say it out loud: "And I am afraid my tastes are a little too...peculiar to be satisfied, so no- no one catching any eye. All the eligeble doctors and nurses are marrying each other and nothing is left for American boys." he joked in the end with an exaggerated sigh, shaking his head. "Better luck in the next life- although I am probably going to be something like, a worm or something if the karma thing is true."

  'Crushed' didn't even begin to cover it. John stood still, breathing slowly as his world crumbled in on itself. Sherlock went to extreme lengths to keep Irvine alive, to the point he lied to John. Likely Mycroft lied too. The brothers kept John in the dark willingly, and he never knew.

"Then I guess it doesn’t matter. He’ll already know you’re here." Why would Sherlock hide this? Sentiment. It had to be sentiment. "God, this is… Great. Just great. Will you be seeing him, then? Come back to London to catch up?"

"I guess so - he always manages to know everything, doesn't he? Even without the help of his big brother." Irvine considered with a shrug of his shoulders. It really didn't matter if Sherlock knew he was still alive - Mycroft, that was another thing, of course. He considered that maybe John might have told him about his return, and that maybe this could have been a mistake - but, he guessed,he would have crossed that bridge once got there. For now, he just symphatetically smiled to him and shook his head. "You don't have to be mad, John." he lied openly: John had all the reasons to be, and should have been. But he didn't want to make him grow even more bitter than what he already was and he seemed to be exremely crushed by all the news he had just received: "Sometimes- he probably wouldn't even realize why you would be at all. He probably didn't do it on purpose or to hurt or anger you." the last thoughts, at least, were true, or sort of at least. He couldn't help though but add: "Sure, I would have thought he had told you about this disadventure, but maybe...he didn't for sentimental reasons. Who knows." "Catching up is literally the last thing I want to do, if that means being involved again with Moriarty in any way. I will keep my distances, if you don't mind. I don't want to risk my head again for a little longer at least."

Sherlock listened carefully, taking in Irvine’s points and digesting them, letting them sit in his body to see if they would cause any adverse effects. So far, so good, even as his friend finally met his gaze and explained the final and most important aspect. The brunette interrupted him before he could finish his sentence.

"I never had any illusions he would be. People don’t normally pay for what they can get for free; there obviously had to be a reason he couldn’t get this sort of treatment elsewhere. You’re right, I’m not in this for the money, and I could definitely go to a party and spend the night with someone else.

"But if I do this, I get to do it with you. And I’ve been to hundreds of parties- something new would be incredibly welcomed. I have to act for the camera when it comes to shoots, I can act for someone face-to-face no problem."

"Well, I - guess that is true, although it might get a little more hard to act when you are in bed with someone else naked and ready to have sex. I mean, there are some clients that do are attractive and just don't know where to look for a good spank but unfortunately this is not the case." Irvine considered: he tried to think of something else, but the more he thought the more he realized that there wasn't much more that he could say to frame perfectly the picture of what his job consisted in once you took away the romanticized idea of what would have happened. He knew Sherlock wasn't stupid or naive about it but it did make Irvine feel better specify it all the same. Not to mention, the first reason he listed for doing it was very interesting. He was surprised - more by the fact that Sherlock had admitted it openly, rather than the fact that he thought it, and he couldn't help but smirk, cocking his head a little. "Well, for as much as this could be bad for my business, there would be other ways to do this that do not include a third party in this. We can do a thing us two ourselves, if you want us to- you don't need to join a threesome." he said carefully, wondering why Sherlock hadn't asked before. "That way it would be...more pleasant for you maybe?"

  When Irvine is safely in the car - safely his for the evening, Jim is sure of it - he seems finally willing to hold a proper conversation. The driver cannot hear due to the small window that provides a barrier between the front and back seats, so they can both feel at liberty to discuss even the most delicate of information without fear of saying too much. Normally picking up a stranger and being driven someplace with them is no new occurrence, but he has a feeling that ‘too much’ in indeed an option for them should one of them cross boundaries the other is not ready to stop guarding.

"I am one percent sure. I’m eighty, perhaps ninety percent sure.” Jim watches him carefully, those dark eyes boring into Irvine in a way that is quite famous for making the criminal’s associates anxious and uncomfortable. While his direct aim is not to make his guest uneasy, he does have a reputation to maintain, and in this case to craft right before Irvine’s very eyes. Whatever the other man is, Jim wants him to know that attempting to cross him in some way would be ill-advised. 

"It’s the details I’m interested in." Jim is, evidently, in the mood to be free and open and in no mood to mince words or beat around the bush. “What makes you unlike a common whore?” Clearly he’s aware that ‘escort’ or ‘companion’ would be better words, far more dignified. He’s testing Irvine, just a little, to see just where the aforementioned boundaries might be drawn. “You’re different somehow. It doesn’t take a genius to work that out.” 

Jim smiles at his own quip. It doesn’t take a genius to work that out, but a genius is precisely what Irvine has got. No need to show his hand just yet, but soon, Irvine will fully understand what he’s dealing with. They both will.

Irvine can safely say that through the years he has met any kind of person, more or less interesting and more or less intimidating - but the way this man looks at him, it makes him suddenly wonder whether this has been a good idea or not - it wasn't the first time he left a place with someone he didn't know and had no idea who it was: it wasn't anymore as scary as the first times, but even now it was just like when he was 23 and he was terrified that he could have been killed or tortured afterwards (which of course never happened, but he always used to go for the worst scenarios at the time). His eyes make him feel like he has to apologize for something although he didn't say anything bad at all: he is way too careful to do such a thing with a client. He wonders if he has done it on purpose, but Irvine is neither surprised nor shocked by the choice of words - he wasn't exactly expecting him to go for whore, but all the same it was rather clear that he wasn't one for sugar-coated talking, and he's used to such words anyway. His question, however, is interesting. "Doesn't take a genius but the fact that you have understood just after a first look at me and that doesn't happen often." he comments with a smile, trying to think of a straight answer that wouldn't have bored the man. "Because I am good at what I do- better than anyone else, or so that's what I've been told. Or I am very good at making people think that I am, which can be just as convenient." he says after a while. No time or reason to be modest: "Mostly it's probably because I enjoy it, I guess. And because it's not mere lay down and open your legs wide, I try to give my clients exaclty what they want, even if it's not exactly...the usual services. That's what people look for the most- people who are powerful enough or don't look like gremlins can have that without paying, and the ones who do just want to get laid, which- kind of reduces the sources of income. " he wondered if with that look he might have also guessed that there was another source of income aside from his regular one - but of course, he wasn't going to bring that up at all.

"Oh no! No, not at all! And for the record,       I don’t think you’re one…it’s    just that you could possibly       be one…be on your guard    and all that…”     The more she talked with      him, the more    intrigued      she    became   with him.      She    was      starting to      regret turning   down his      offer, but she’d   already      said no. "Perhaps…perhaps some other time.”

"Well that makes me feel much better, then." Irvine joked amused, with a small nod of the head as if to say to be his guest: he surely wasn't the kind of person that insisted when someone turned down an invite: first of all, he knew way too well how unpleasant that was, just as much as insistence that usually followed the casual "another time": secondly, he wasn't used to be the one who begged for another encounter, even though he did was a little disappointment that this one hadn't evolved into something more than a chat on the way to the elevator. She could have been the nicest person that he had met in a long time, possibly - something he wouldn't have expected to think today, considering that he had an appointment with Moriarty. "Another time, surely." he said in the end: "We are- well, I've been living her long enough to say that we are British, so coffee can wait. Not to mention there are high chances that I will get lost again next time I will have to come here."

  She panicked when he asked her if he said something wrong, and she fought to say no, because in reality, he hadn’t. This was completely her doing. She shouldn’t be stuttering like she was and she tugged nervously at the ends of one of her curls, blushing like mad. “No…no, it’s not that…it’s just I don’t…” Any excuse she actually formulated in her mind came out sound terrible, and her blushing simply deepened until she was certain that she was the colour of a very red tomato. “I wish I could…but I don’t know you…what if you’re an axe murderer or something? I’m sorry…that was inappropriate…I really shouldn’t…I would love to…but I shouldn’t.”

Irvine had to admit that it was one of the weirdest things someone had ever told him to turn down a invite for lunch, and he couldn't help but smile, nodding as he lowered his eyes. She was definitely smart, smarter than what he thought - as he didn't believe in any sixth sense, she must have guessed that something was wrong with him, although she didn't quite understand what it was. It was dangerous, but it was also intriguing, somehow- even though he was quite sure that she didn't guess yet that Moriarty wasn't quite what he pretended to be just as well. "I hope that nothing in my look or appareance made you think of a axe murderer." he commented: "Anyway, don't worry at all. I can assure you that I am not an axe murderer, but I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable."

  There’s a small, pleased smile that appears on the corners of Greg’s lips as he chuckles quietly.

"I think we can both safely say that." There’s a brief pause, a slight lick of his lips, “So are you as good as they say you are?”

He gestures to his clothes and surroundings, with a cocky smile. "Well, consider that everything I own I can afford it thanks to my skills." He says, feeling much more confident - as if he isn't enough already, he thinks as his smile grows largers: it never happened to him to have someone who wasn't if not pleasantly surprised at least content with him: "So yes I think I can go as far as saying that I do am good. I am surprised though - I would have never expected to write your name down in my clients' list. I didn't think you were the type."

Taking Control || Sebastian & Irvine

"Consulting." Sebastian answered with a particular kind of practiced perfection. "Personal consulting, mostly. I work for a firm. Business, finance, debt. That sort of thing." It was his ritual answer, when any one asked. It’s what his business cards said, and if the company on the cards was looked up online, it would have a glowing profile of Sebastian Moran in a sharp-looking suit, grinning and listing his credentials. As it turned out, those didn’t have to be forged. He truly was an Oxford graduate, and perfectly qualified to be a consultant, though the type of ‘consulting’ he actually did was far from strictly ‘as advertised’.

Sebastian hummed as Irvine continued, sipping his whiskey and enjoying every drop. Not that a single glass would have any effect on him. Too many long years of alcoholism had rendered his liver practically immune to the stuff. It took a bottle for him to feel even a buzz, anymore. But he still enjoyed the taste. 

"Heh. I’m not the type that’s easily ‘scared off’ or ‘disgusted’." He chuckled, amused. "Asphyxiation is fine. I wouldn’t mind a good fuck, either. I’ll bottom." While he usually topped, or ‘gave’ as  Irvine put it, he was here to fulfill his own secret fantasies. Surely someone who could dominate him could also fuck him. Though he hoped Irvine wasn’t this strictly professional when it came down to the act. Sebastian was all for impersonal sex, but this seemed almost clinical. "I don’t want to be blindfolded." He added. It wasn’t so much a fear as it was a bad memory. "Anything else is fine, though."

Irvine hid his smile behind the glass as he took another sip, considering how many times lately the word "consulting" had been used by people around them to define their job. He might has well have started to use it tho, although he was anything but a mere consultant in what he did. He decided that it was better not to ask any further about his job, to avoid making him feel under inquisition. After all, no one liked to be asked about his job when he certain situations, and he didn't sound or feel any anxious to talk or brag about his job. He put down his glass, and turned completely towards him, listening carefully to what he wished for with his smile getting larger and larger every word he said. When he seemed to have said everything Irvine nodded slowly, before running a finger on the man's strong neck and examinating it carefully, as if he wanted to inspect him. "That's a relief to hear." he said with such a soft tone as if he was speaking more to himself rather than him: "You wouldn't imagine how many people get scared off by every little thing despite coming here. However." He smiled and cupped Sebastian's jaw with one hand, forcing him to turn his face and smiling softly against his neck, as if he wanted to whisper him a secret: "I can sense that we are going to are going to have a lot of fun together tonight, my dear." He only regretted that he wasn't going to have the chance to blindfold him, but some proper fucking would have sufficed, he considered with a feral smile against the man's skin.

  Huge boyfriends? Molly blinked at the man’s joke and remained confused for a moment before giggling and covering her petite bow of a mouth before waving her hand at him. “Oh, oh no, I don’t have…don’t have a ‘huge boyfriend,’” she laughed again. “I don’t have one, actually. Um, but I might…maybe some day…soon, I mean, I hope saying that doesn’t jinx it or anything. Might have to toss some salt over my shoulder for good luck or something.”

Molly realised how strange she sounded and looked down at her feet, deciding she probably shouldn’t go to coffee with this strange man. She didn’t even know his name. She was stuck in her own thoughts when his compliment reached her and she blinked again, taken completely by surprise. She suddenly felt as if he were judging her the way he was looking her up and down, so she self-consciously tugged the blouse she was wearing down to cover up what she assumed was unattractive. “Oh, um, Jim’s….Jim’s not working today. He should be back tomorrow, so you can talk with him then,” she mumbled, moving to immerse herself completely in paperwork. “I can’t…can’t go to the canteen today. I have…too much paperwork to do. Thanks…thanks for the offer, though. It’s nice of someone to ask for once…”

Irvine couldn't but giggle back as well, shaking his head. "Oh don't worry - we can touch wood if you want, but I would be pretty surprised if you didn't manage to have one very soon, so there is actually nothing to jinx if I may. You are way too pretty not to have one, you just need to find the right person. Besdies, if you are looking for someone who is as a good listeners as what you are used to-" he joked pointing with his finger back at the morgue, before realizing how surprised - or outraged - she seemed to be. He couldn't say if it was for what he had just said or for something else, but clearly something must have made her feel embarrassed or uncomfortable, and Irvine could only blink surprised as she tried to find an excuse not to follow him. "Oh- well, I - fine then." he said, before asking cautiously: "Did I- say something that I shouldn't have? I didn't want to offend you in any way - if I did, I am very sorry. I didn't mean to- on the very contrary." he said, letting the last sentence linger in the air.

"Well, since never I guess - but if you had answered in any different way I would have worried that you might have had something else for me to do in mind. However, I am glad to see that you don' any objection to my title."

            Sherlock groaned when the cool hand touched his forehead, half in relief and half in frustration. It was true that some days he looked at the ever-growing pile of money and thought about how easy it would be to buy this or that, but it always came back around to survival. They could only spend the money on what they could get on the sly, back-alley deals and money exchanging hands where security cameras couldn’t be seen, middle men payed handsome fees to walk into places they couldn’t get on their own and bring back things like food and other essentials.

          And really, he couldn’t do that to Irvine. Sherlock didn’t make friends, he never had- so when the Adlers fell out of favour with his family, it felt like the universe was playing some sort of horrible joke on him. He was out here for Irvine, and he was out here for himself. Having to work so hard to survive, well, it gave him plenty to occupy his racing mind with, and the adrenaline rush of pulling off one of their crimes was all the fix he’d need until the day he died.

          Not that he had any illusions that would be long from now. No, Sherlock woke up every morning now, ready to say goodbye to this life and finding himself pleasantly surprised when he was still breathing as they fell asleep together.

          He opened one bright blue eye, looking up at his partner and offering a smirk. “You just want to dump the water on me for your own enjoyment- are you really that bored?” he teased. Banter abounded even now; the heat was a fairly strong deterent against too much physical contact unless in the cold of the dessert nights.

Irvine cocked his head, as if he was thinking carefully about what he was doing and letting some drop of ice cold water drip on Sherlock’s forehead, before nodding gravely. "I might be- yes, I totally am. Boredom is deadly, you should know it better than anyone else - isn't that part of the reason why you decided to spend your time here and not just ignore me and come back to your wonderful and comfortable life in the city?”  he teased him with a smile, carefully not showing how much that meant to me. Sherlock had be under no obligation to come and help him out there, or even acknowledge his existence for what was worth. Very few people had done that – and Sherlock, despite their relationship was based on anything but sweet moments and heart-warming speeches about love and friendship, had been the only person who had not pretended that he had never existed. He was more grateful to him than what he would have ever said. Therefore, he relied on sarcasm to let him understand how he felt and it seemed to be working out really well, he thought as he moved one hand running it on the tip of Sherlock’s nose with a smile he was well aware to be unnerving on his face. “But if you have better ideas on how to fight the boredom or the hotness, be my guest – I am open to any suggestion.” He said, his body aching to actually do something – anything really. It was hard to stay too much time doing nothing now – saying that he used to be lazy was an understatement, while now he always felt like doing something, go somewhere, even when it was dangerous and inevitably put him in the most dangerous situations - despite the fact that they never said it out loud, as if it wasn’t true or as if it didn’t really mattered to them – which wasn’t true, of course: Irvine cared very much about his own life, but he also ached to feel the adrenaline rush through his veins. It was like being high – you know it was dangerous, but at the same time he couldn’t help but look for it every time he had the chance. He loved it.
