Again, they aren't 24/7 involved in their life, but that doesn't mean they "don't care for them".

Entrust you kid to Cheiron's education is neither "don't caring", to be honest, is the opposite lol, Cheiron is the most wise centaur and he educated so many important heroes... I mean, entrust your kid to him is like the equivalent of taking your child to the best school and education 😅 Apollo entrusted two of his children to Cheiron, and he cares for his children. Achilles was also entrusted to him, and it doesn't mean that Thetys didin't cared nor loved him.

And we have myths of gods involved in their children's lifes, sometimes raising and/or personally educating them. They give them gifts, they mourns their deaths, and they often avenge them. To hurt or kill a divine child is often the reason of a god's wrath... See Poseidon with Polyphemus, or Ares with Alcippe, or Apollo with Asclepius, and there are more examples of divine wrath for an offspring. So yes, gods cares for his children 💙
