Also, no pfp + no title + no header = you're getting blocked.
While I do read a few different fandoms, and even used to write for some, the only fandom I currently write for is Percy Jackson, specifically Nico and Will. Ask me to whump anyone else (for this series or any other), and you will probably be ignored.
I do write for my OCs—they need love too! 💖 You can find fics and info about any and all of them under #my ocs.
Do not ask me to RP with you. I'm really bad at communicating and I don't want the added pressure of replying to RPs.
I take suggestions, not requests. I write as a hobby (and for free), and with a job that takes a lot out of me physically and mentally, plus just life in general, I look at asks and may write your suggestions if I have the time and/or mental capacity to do so.
I'll add more to this as needed.
Thank you for reading and respecting my boundaries.
Thinking about caretaker, because that happens sometimes too.
Thinking about them bringing a plastic bag on the bus. Just in case. Because their friend isn't feeling great and they need to get home. Maybe their friend is drunk. Maybe they've eaten too much, or something bad. Or just something that disagrees with them. Maybe it's something else.
Either way, thinking about caretaker taking their friend home. Thinking about that plastic bag in their pocket. Thinking about how their friend says they don't need it.
Thinking about caretaker noticing their friend getting greener and greener every time the bus stops to pick up more people. Every time it starts at a green light. Every time it turns.
Thinking about caretaker taking out the bag. Just in case. Thinking about their friend taking it this time.
Thinking about caretaker suggesting they get off at the next stop. Thinking about their friend nodding.
Thinking about a long red light. Thinking about seconds turning into minutes. Thinking about a left turn. Thinking about caretaker's friend gripping the bag hard, raising it to their face.
Thinking about caretaker putting a hand on their back. Thinking about caretaker closing their eyes as the first wave splatters into the bag. Thinking about caretaker rubbing their friends back as they vomit again.
Thinking about caretaker trying not to gag at the smell. Maybe they have a weak stomach. Maybe they too have had a few beers. Maybe they too have eaten from that food truck.
Thinking about caretaker's stomach rolling with every splash of vomit that their friend brings up. Thinking about caretaker being so nauseous now that they can't offer words of comfort anymore, but still keeps rubbing their friend's back.
Thinking about the bus stopping.
Thinking about them just getting off the bus in time for caretaker to double over and throw up on the pavement.
Having a blorbo is SO wonderful bc you get free joy for thinking about them being happy but also free joy for thinking about them being miserable. No losing
I love the shock factor of Whumpee just collapsing out of the blue and scaring Caretaker/etc. half to death, but there is something to be said for the Caretaker who saw it coming from a mile off and just scoops up Whumpee without missing a beat the moment Whumpee's knees start to buckle
“if you love this character then you must make her happy in your fics, right?” wrong. the horror. suffering. internal hemorrhage. hospital. immediately
i love pathetic little coughs and sniffles. when someone is nowhere near sick enough to stay home, just a little congested and hoarse, but they can’t suppress the sickly little sounds that make it obvious they’re a bit under the weather 🥺
Hi Folks. Have you heard about heatstroke? It's summer. And there're heat waves. And heatstroke is a Call-[Emergency Number]-Now type emergency.
Heatstroke is when the body's normal heat-regulating measures have failed under intense environmental heat stress. Core body temperature can rise up to 6 degrees F (3 degrees C) in as little as 10-15 minutes. And a sustained temperature of 105F (40.5C) or higher can cause severe neurological damage.
It looks like:
Confusion, altered mental status, slurred speech
Loss of consciousness (coma)
Hot, dry skin or profuse sweating
Seizures
Very high body temperature (greater than 104F (40.C))
The only way to limit the damage is to cool the person down. So once you've called that emergency number, you're gonna want to act fast.
Fortunately, the state of the art of cooling is very low tech. The following can cool a person by 0.16F (0.9C) per minute. And that's better than just about anything except ECMO. It's probably what they're going to do in the emergency department.
Get some water. Doesn't have to be ice water. Just regular water will do. Make sure the person is wearing clothes or you have to put a sheet over them. Drench their clothes or the sheet in the water. Point a fan at them and set it to it's highest setting. If you don't have a fan, get a piece of cardboard or a newspaper or something and fan them.
That's it. That's going to get the person down a degree or so by the time EMS shows up, which might save some very valuable brain.

Hey everyone, a quick note from me.
You might have noticed things have been a bit quiet around here lately, and the prompt list didn’t quite make the midnight debut like it was supposed to. Life got a little crazy behind the scenes, and the scheduled posts simply didn't happen. I’m really sorry for keeping you all waiting!
Thank you so much for your patience and for sticking around. The prompts are officially up now, and I’m incredibly excited to see what everyone creates this year.
Let's ease into it and make this event a great one! ✨
It's already so possible to wake up from a normal nap on a normal day feeling like you've been drugged and had your kidneys stolen, so like....... The Character sick or injured just trying to rest and waking up feeling 10x worse for absolutely no good reason
here for my wildly unscheduled fic of the season. enjoy!

Luka blinks slowly as he comes out of the half-awake doze he’s been fighting to stay in for the past few hours when his stomach growls. It’s still dark, and the sheets are tangled around him, unpleasantly damp. His pajamas are also damp with sweat, he realizes, but there’s a chill prickling beneath his skin.
He turns over and pulls the blanket up, burrowing into it and trying to go back to sleep. He’s almost managed it when his stomach growls and gurgles again, this time sending a slow wave of nausea over him. A noise of discomfort slips out of him and he turns over once more, but that only serves to ramp of the churning of his stomach. Luka swallows nervously as heat rolls over him, making him throw off the blanket again.
His stomach clenches a bit, and he curls around it, hoping it’ll settle, but it swirls and gurgles once more, making him feel faint, and saliva is beginning to accumulate beneath his tongue.
With a sigh, Luka sits up and swings his legs over the bed, sitting on the edge with his head in his hands. He’s still half hoping the nausea will ease, but just in case, he gathers his damp hair back into a bun at the base of his neck.
As he does so, his stomach cramps hard, and Luka is suddenly aware that he’s moved past slight queasiness and straight into full-blown nausea, the kind that is dangerously close to sending up his stomach contents. He coughs slightly at the feeling and stands up, feeling the blood drain from his head as he does so.
