Wanna know a fun fact?

When they were filming Lord of the Rings, they needed A LOT of extras to be able to ride horses into battle. They couldn’t find nearly enough men with horses/ riding skills, so they hired just like a crap ton of women who were expert riders, slapped some beards on ‘em, and called it good. The VAST majority of the riders in that film are horse girls. Horse girls win battles.

After mission

turns out i was and still am a sucker for winged characters, so

theorizing time while my laptop is being operated.

i've seen hawks flying in rain (i'm pretty sure i did at least).

so that means his feathers secret oils that make them hydrophobic (also fun fact, if he wanted to go through a stealth operation which required him to be silent while flying, he would've fucked it up, because the one species of owls that is truly silent and undetectable by any microphones has rejected its water resistance in favor of all the fluff that makes it silent).

so he has no problems while showering and drying. he even can take the biggest feathers out, so they wouldn't take space... really convenient.

but.

he still has to preen them. he could potentially just put them in a washing machine, if they hadn't had oils on them, but alas.

and like... preening is a long prosses. i noticed that birds usually do it whenever they have free time, because it's so time-consuming.

and while i imagine hawks suffers greatly because of it, i also imagine him just... sitting on a roof, dangling his legs, preening his wings in a middle of a patrol. nothing's happening, might as well do something useful.

i bet there are hundreds compilations on youtube of him doing it. imagine a crime scene, a reporter is asking another hero what's going on, and then there's hawks on the background, coming around the corner, engrossed in his feathers like nothing's wrong.

Yeah. This is why antis are… not someone I’d like to associate myself with. Like, I absolutely understand having your boundaries and wanting those boundaries respected (which is what everybody deserves). But boy this is… something else. And not that it’s any of my business but I can’t imagine how this can be healthy to you.

Also publicly shaming people who were kind enough to give your works kudos will just make people wary of giving their favorite fics kudos.
