Our tradition is to wait until midnight to give each other our gifts but we were both kinda tired from a run earlier yesterday AND we were really excited. She was worried her gift wasn’t going to get here in time but it did! Last month we finally got around to seeing The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It instantly became one of my favorites and she knew it. In the movie, Walter receives a wallet from a photographer with a quote in it (above), urging him to explore. We both love adventure and traveling and discovering new things so she thought this was perfect. She couldn’t have been more right. And to make it unique, she inserted a piece of Sonnet LXXXI by Pable Neruda, one of our favorite poets. She’ll never know how happy she makes me.
