The Keen Blade

so half of me doing this was to specifically draw all the hot star people for people yes, but half of it was to also just have supplementary refs where possible-- so imagine me doing this and going "oh right polearms are impossible to frame right"

my solution to that is to just make it completely separately- if I had a nickel for every oc with a polearm I've had to separate out a thing to make a ref for, etc etc

in the original art of tu the spearhead barely peeking up was more akin to a lance- but that was boring I have decided it's a qiang now

been thinking I should draw lang in more varying poses and angles 'cause I've fallen into a sort of comfort zone for him-

zygarde AbZel form, hee hoo

I've always been a fan of zygarde in concept not so much execution with the complete form

(P.S. I've since learned that the zygarde forms are based on fenrir, jormungandr, and hel- mm, gets a few more points ig only a little)

and since I just got done with a 'third paldea boxart legend'- plus the idea coming to me in a dream.. I just thought I'd take a crack at my own zygarde-complete-- though I am also not feeling that strongly about my own take which is why it's not Finished finished lmao

The Restored Rogue

since his conception sketch I've kind of tried to make his nail/claw bitsies like crab pinchers, and for this it was a bit of a speed bump at the start to think of how it'd work for real- but this works out great methinks

-bonus points for also being the hand sign for six heehoo

talked myself into having a game theory about the whole area zero dealio that the games just left unanswered on purpose, but the long and short of it was Big Cyclizar

gave it a good shake to at least try a little bit to adhere to pokemon design philosophy-- while just having my fun fucking around with it

been a while

noticing a sharp decline in lang doodles for a good while now- which is technically a good thing because it means I'm keeping busy with various other things but it does also tragically mean he's naked a lot less now, shame about that ...for u guys who can only see what I post

always wanted to see if I can do multi-sketch page stuff- and like I kinda managed to but they are still better viewed individually so--

already retconning how the reforged obelisk looks from the last lang doodle lol lmao-

but also in the fun secret versions I'm keeping in my pocket I have these work as lang's full proper marking refs that I've never done, nor have I really shown how the obelisk gets summoned so this was kind of it
