Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?” 💫
From our neighbourhood cleanups to our volunteer efforts for local organizations within the community, giving back is just part of who we are 💚🙏

The Coldest Night of the Year is coming up, and we’re walking! We are excited to partner with @fyfoodbank and walk in the cold ❄️❄️ to raise funds and bring awareness to homelessness, which sadly affects so many in our society. On Saturday, February 24th, our team of CAFE staff and volunteers will be taking to the streets on a 2km route - we would love your support! 💪Donate to our team’s fundraising efforts, or put on that winter coat 🧥 and come out and walk with us!
.
Head to the link below to donate to Team CAFE! If you’d like to walk with us, DM us and let us know! ❄️

A huge shoutout to our Harbord team for taking to the streets last week and cleaning up! 🧹 We are so grateful to be a part of the amazing communities that all of our locations are situated in and around, and one way we can show that appreciation is through simple acts of service like our regular community cleanups! 🗑️ Thanks to everyone for a job well done!! 🔥 ✅

This month we had the opportunity to return to IDFK Studios for another exciting immersive art experience! Named Retro Apocalypse, this visually stunning affair was part art show, part market, and very friendly towards cannabis and psychadelics. Cannabis-focused entertainment has really taken off in the last year or so, as more people are becoming interested in the experience of recreational consumption while engaging in social and cultural activities. CAFE is proud to continue to dominate Toronto’s cannabis-entertainment scene, with our ongoing lineup of comedy nights, cannabis and fine dining SENSES events, Puff & Paint nights and many others. In addition to hosting some very exciting events, we also love to collaborate with others in the scene and participate in events hosted by others, such as Retro Apocalypse. We loved being a part of this exciting experience!

Our July comedy show was an absolute blast! If you’re just learning about us, you’ll be happy to hear that CAFE is Toronto’s top spot for cannabis-focused entertainment, aside from all the excellent cannabis we have long been known for. CAFE and Smokes & Jokes present a monthly comedy show that takes place at Toronto’s storied Comedy Bar, located on Bloor St W just steps away from our 932 Bloor St location. Our July show was a late night one – 11pm – and it was a full house of energy and good vibes. Truly, our July show was super fun and we are glad that so many people came out to see and enjoy it with us.

In the cannabis world, it is extremely important that operators have all the information available on the products they carry, in order to best serve their clientele. Here at CAFE, we take responsible use very seriously, and pride ourselves on our vast product knowledge. We ensure that only the best products make it to our shelves, and we subject each and every one to extensive testing for quality control and consistency. We also hold regular product knowledge sessions where our budtenders get to learn about our product, interact with vendors, have discussions and share feedback. This article focuses on our recent session by Wesley Tea, where staff got to meet the brand representatives and learn more about what goes into each and every bag of Wesley Tea.

The past couple of weeks have been a truly exciting time at CAFE. Following Easter celebrations, we delved right in to several super fun events as part of our month long 420 celebrations. One of these was an absolutely legendary ballroom dance event hosted by Carry Toronto. This local organization hosts regular parties and dance events, at which many attendees are from the LGBTQ+ community. Carry Toronto provides a safe space for all people, while giving them a chance to express themselves with creativity and no inhibitions.
CAFE is proud to have partnered with Carry Toronto for their April event! All parties take place at a private venue where smoking cannabis is permitted. Naturally, CAFE was on hand to provide party-goers with everything they might need for a perfect night. We set up a small booth in the back, and interacted with many people that were delighted to find their favourite pre-rolls, edibles and dried flower available right at the party!

This past weekend was Easter Sunday, and many people took the opportunity to celebrate, relax and spend time with their loved ones. Here at CAFE, we were busy preparing for the annual CPRA Easter Scramble that takes place each year in CityPlace, at Canoe Landing Park! The event was spearheaded by CAFE back in 2017, and since then has grown to be a wholesome, family-friendly event that brings together the entire community.

Each year on March 17, people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in honour of the Irish saint of the same name. St. Patrick’s Day celebrations usually involve drinking, but here at CAFE we’ve taken the day and put our own unique spin on it. For the last few years, we’ve been marking March 17 on our calendars as St. Potty’s Day – a day dedicated to all our favourite green things, of course!
St. Potty’s Day at CAFE is a super fun time. Each of our four downtown dispensary locations prepares for the day, with stores all decked out in green and some staff even dressed up. Everyone waits eagerly for the arrival of our famous Lucky Leprechaun – a magical little creature dressed in green! On St. Potty’s Day, the CAFE Leprechaun makes his rounds to all four stores, with a couple of stops at some of Toronto’s most famous landmarks.

CAFE Puff & Paint Nights are really starting to get popular! CAFE hosts this exciting event in collaboration with talented Toronto artist Ashante, who wows attendees every time with her incredible artistic works and unique ideas for our classes. Once again, our Puff & Paint Night was fully sold out days in advance, with many more people excitedly contacting us for details on the next event.
CAFE is proud to be the original, and one of the only spots in Toronto where people can freely enjoy cannabis as part of their evening. Cannabis-centric tourism and entertainment events are indeed starting to become more popular as more and more people start to explore cannabis as an alternative to alcohol. We are happy to be pioneers of this change in Toronto, and will continue to host exciting, cannabis-focused activities and events for our patrons.
Tis the season for giving, and CAFE stepped up! In our usual holiday tradition, we have run a toy drive over the last few weeks, gathering toy donations from our community, patrons and staff to deliver to children in time for Christmas. We also matched donations by purchasing additional toys to add to the pile just a few days before drop-off. Late this week, our staff gathered up the donated toys and brought them over to our community partners, just in time for children to get their hands on them for the holidays!

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming SENSES event on January 21 – a night of cannabis-infused fine dining with acclaimed celebrity chef Travis Petersen! Our SENSES brunches and dinners have been nothing but spectacular in the past, and we expect this one to be just as exciting.
Join us for an unforgettable night of cannabis-induced euphoria and mouth-watering culinary delights prepared by Chef Travis and his talented team. The night will feature a multi-course dinner in an intimate setting, at a beautifully upscale venue in downtown Toronto. Guests will get to enjoy refreshing mocktails, made with CBD and with the option of THC added, alongside scrumptious meal offerings that will be infused with CBD and THC. At the start of the evening, Chef Travis will come around and speak with each guest individually, in order to understand their experience with cannabis, and help them decide on an appropriate dosage level. Each meal will then be carefully dosed to the precise tolerance of each guest before being served.

We just LOVE Halloween, and have had a blast celebrating all things spooky all of last week with our cannabis-centric Halloween events that took place! We kicked off the week with our Puff & Paint Night and then continued with our Saturday night Smokes & Jokes comedy show – both of which were frightfully fun and a lot of fun to be at. The Halloween spirits were high at every one of our four downtown Toronto dispensary locations this past Monday! Our staff went above and beyond as usual, and decorated their stores with as many ghouls, goblins and spooky creatures as could fit in. Of course they were also all in costume, and everyone looked fantastic. Scroll to see some photos of our spooky festivities!
