Il film di Barbie è stato un'esperienza esilarante e femminista, ma la focalizzazione inaspettata su Ken ha portato a una conclusione compromissoria che avrebbe potuto privilegiare di più la prospettiva di Barbie

Greta Gerwig.la regista, nel suo tentativo di rendere il femminismo più accessibile, ha presentato concetti noti come femminismo, patriarcato e mascolinità tossica sotto forma di divertimento e risate, avendo in parte successo.

Il film è riuscito a parlare dei ruoli di genire e del loro impatto sia sugli uomini che sulle donne, aprendo la discussione su questi argomenti complessi in modo leggero ma significativo. Il modo in cui ha affrontato questi argomenti ha suscitato risate, ma ha anche suscitato una riflessione più profonda.

Il cast, con Margot Robbie e Ryan Gosling nei ruoli di Barbie e Ken, è stato eccezionale, specialmente Gosling nel suo compito di interpretare un simbolo del patriarcato e di comprendere la sua influenza sulla mascolinità tossica. La rappresentazione dei ruoli di genere e delle norme sociali è stata affascinante e ben eseguita.La struttura narrativa, sebbene non insolita, si è rivelata particolarmente strana in questo contesto.
