What I envy most about men is their ability to be themselves. With being a woman you can expect to be judged for just about everything. People need to get it into their thick skulls that it will never ever ever be a financially stable, privileged woman prostituting herself, never. The women who will be forced to resort to prostitution will be vulnerable, financially struggling underprivileged women. Nobody is prostituting themselves because they want to, it is because they are left with no other options or are being forced to do so. It is not work, it is not a job. To me, if someone is having sex for other reasons then wanting sex, then they are not consenting. Not only is it rape, its psychological effects are torturous. Enabling sex work, is enabling the rape of vulnerable women. Supporting it is supporting the exploitation of struggling women. If we live in a society where women are forced to do prostitution, then we have failed, there is simply no point in a government claiming to protect womens rights if there are people having to be raped in exchanged for money!!!
