loving that fact that even though dean only ever refers to cas as "the angel" while looking for him in purgatory, everyone else seems to have clocked that cas is "that crazy human's angel"

while benny also calls cas THE angel in this scene, i think it's because cas calls him THE vampire

it's a two-way thing where they both refuse to call the other by name, only be species. benny is undoubtedly VERY aware that the angel is really dean's angel - case in point with this scene where benny calls cas dean's "buddy," putting a special emphasis on the way he says "buddy"

pretty sure the reason for that goes back to this scene in 8x02 and benny realising that they might be a bit more than buddies but are probably in denial
