I really liked Ava and Simon's(Convict) dynamic. The way you hear her soften around Simon the more those two talk. She's trying so hard not to humanize him, but when she finally learns his name, she can't **help** but humanize him.

And when she says "It's bigger than us, It's bigger than you", she's not just demeaning Simon. She's referring to herself. She thinks that, in the end, she herself is expendable. Part of the reason she's so willing to go down there to try and save Simon.
