I keep thinking about how Victor is always caught in this vicious cycle of wanting to gain power because he believes its the only way to do good, fails, tries to make amends for his deeds, fails, goes back to trying to gain power again because that is the most familiar thing to him and how he doesn’t know how to function without his anger or his obsessive need to control everything because at such a young point in his life he had no control over the things that happened to him and it killed the people he loved. He wants to break away but can’t because doing something new or trying to be good is more terrifying then allowing himself to become the thing that all people hate the most. Hate and fear and anger are his security blankets because he knows how to function with them and the one time he really tried to be a hero, really tried to just be the man that Reed thought he could be, he was burned for it, and left a bloody broken mess in the rubble of his own castle.
