Amelia drinking...

Low blow, Grey's. Low. blow. Hit me where it hurts and let me dangle until Jan. 11th.... How am I supposed to enjoy Christmas when Amelia drank alcohol?! Private Practice was and still remains my favorite show. Amelia's struggle on there really made me fall in love with the character and I love her character something fierce. It's a mixture of Amelia's story and Caterina's phenomenal acting. It hurts me to see Grey's making Amelia look weak. It hurts me to see Owen and Meredith both shut her out completely. Addison and Charlotte wouldn't do that. JAMES WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT. It hurts me to see people hate Amelia's character and it pains me to see what they are doing to her on the show. I get that it's just a show, but Amelia is far from weak. Do we need a reminder that her father, fiancé, baby, and brother all died and she came out on the other side? Do we need a reminder that she went into rehab, went through withdrawals, and fought incredibly hard to get to where she is at today? She is broken and she needed people. Those people let her down. I'm sad and feeling a bit pathetic for feeling so sad, but the drink hit me really hard. I'm incredibly happy that Amelia is on Grey's Anatomy, but she's lost her spunk and sass that I adored so much on Private Practice and I wish the writers would show more of that Amelia.
