are all of the characters of Twin Peaks autistic because they’re written that way, directed that way, or because David Lynch only hired autistic people? Hopefully the latter…
I have a theory here....

This feels like a personal attack. What the fuck is this?
theres this clip from a charlie rose interview with david lynch going around and its so fucking funny to me because like. the whole premise of the clip is that david lynch eats the same thing (lunch; tomatoes, tuna, feta cheese, olive oil and dinner; chicken, little pieces of broccoli, soy sauce) and like charlie rose's thinly-veiled reaction is like "how very peculiar and sort of amusing" and every youtube comment is like "waow hes like his own david lynch character hes so wacky" and im just here like hes autistic. david lynch was autistic as fuck. thats his safe foods.
something real poetic about the 1 year anniversary of David Lynch's death being on a Friday.
And if you can believe it, it's a Friday once again
Twin Peaks ask the brave question of what if an entire town was autistic
“Often accompanied by a live cow, because “I ate a lot of cheese during the film, and it made me very happy”
What 😭😭😭😭
love this baby-ass photo of john waters & david lynch from the 70s
4 layers = one nervous man.
Poor fella. I know he said once before that the two ties, multiple layers thing was an insecurity thing.

david lynch like i will carefully disguise my exposition dumps in character dialogue by simply making all of my characters eccentric and socially inept
Jennifer Lynch is aware of your existence. I was fairly vague, but yeah, Jennifer Lynch is now aware that there's a quaker entomologist in arkansas, who looks a lot like her dad, when he was young and had a beard.
BUNKY!
First of all, I'd like to go on the record, and say that I think i look more like a fun-sized Brendan Gleason.
BUT SECONDARILY, I'm glad I'm such an odd duck, because I'd like to imagine that this message created such a silly mental imagine for her. I hope she chuckled a bit. Hopefully me being such a kooky character brought a little happiness to her in this trying time.
Now! I'm gonna go hide under my bed. The concept of any member of the Lynch family being even a little bit aware of my existence is giving me a migraine headache.
Lynch isn't coy about the degree of his presence in some of his fictional characters, and he said, "I do see a lot of myself in Jeffrey, and I identified with Henry in Eraserhead, too. Both of these characters are confused about the world. Many of the things I see in the world seem very beautiful, but it's still hard for me to figure out how things can be the way they are, and I guess that's one of the reasons why my movies tend to be open to many different interpretations."

Bless you, Jennifer Lynch
These surrealists who made the early films were shooting in the dark, they were feeling their way. But they've left behind a sign on a door that said: once this door is opened, in the future, it will make a way for a brand new kind of film. I'm very happy to be a fellow traveler with any of these guys. David Lynch in Arena - Ruth, Roses and Revolver (Feb 20 1987)

there, see? Kyle told us it was real. There's the refrigerator, RIGHT THERE.
Theres an interview, you've seen it, where the interviewer accuses David of not owning a refrigerator. The way it's said indicates that this is a fairly common rumor. David, of course, replies that he DOES, in fact, have a refrigerator, and Kyle chimes in "I've seen it!".
This has become a running joke between my girlfriend and I, because my refrigerator is from the 1970's, and sounds like a jet plane taking off, so I put it in the laundry room (there's a door in the kitchen, that opens to the laundry room, it's not that crazy, really) because the sound drives me crazy, and I like to eat at a little table in my kitchen, because the dining room table is really big, and I don't like to sit at it alone. So I DON'T actually have a refrigerator IN my kitchen, and it's become a joke, that my refrigerator is just a rumor, like David's supposed refrigerator. It's not real.
