I finished dozens of projects today alone. (drawings here that look like they're done with real media are posted on behalf of my friend, but I'll take any nice notes about them)

After spending months working on various mixes only to either not like them after all or to lose them in a hard drive crash, I decided to just try knocking one out in a few hours. I promised 1,000 entries in this series and I'm planning to die at 128 years old, so I've got to get a move on.

As expected, a lot of it is sloppy and bad, but there are also some nice moments.

Ai pulls off an excellent chicken silhouette and I pull off an excellent first-try spelling of "silhouette". Everyone is redeemed for day 26, and let us never speak of it again.

Went to a conference in downtown Indianapolis, tried to draw this bit of a monument there to some war-hero sailors at a nearby bar.

I don't know why there are squares of darker color, I think it has something to do with Surface tablets sucking.

Also, since Ai was big enough to share her sketch she hates, I will tell you that after I "finished" drawing this statue on the patio of a local brewery, I complained to the waitress that the pen she gave me wasn't working to sign my receipt. The pen I handed her back was my tablet stylus. The issue quickly became apparent.

In my defense, though, it marked better than you might expect due to the pressure-printing system of the receipt printer.

I've never felt like more of an asshole, and I've had so very many opportunities.
