the Chronicles of Narnia hurts me a lot. because in the books Peter was only like 12? (it might be wrong it’s been a few years since I last reread them) and he raised his siblings and ran an entire country and fought battles until he was twenty seven. and then he just. went back? and was this twenty seven year old king in the body of a twelve year old schoolboy who had to go from being respected as a leader and warrior and making major decisions for thousands of beings as well as being the father figure to the other three to someone who would get strange looks boarding a train alone, who couldn’t even legally live on his own due to his apparent age, who probably wasn’t ever taken seriously by adults. and it hurts me
