hi welcome to my blog, and this pinned post! this is my only blog so it's mostly a personal blog filled with an assortment of stuff i like. i post (reblog) a lot about being trans, poetry, quakerism, art and photos i like, occasionally mental health, and some fandom stuff (mostly Dan and Phil, and The Sims 4, but occasionally Ethel Cain, Animorphs, Steven Universe, etc.).

here's how i organize my tags:

#poetry: stuff that makes me go "that's a poem." only sometimes does it match the dictionary definition of a poem

#quaker posting: directly related or adjacent to my understanding and my practice of Quakerism

#is this healing?: stuff that feels like it can help cure my mental illness

#EEEEEEE (that's 7 Es): stuff that makes me go EEEEEEE (so cute animals mostly)

there are a bunch that are pretty self explanatory, stuff like #art and #fandom. i have a few longer tags that relate to specific aesthetics/vibes/playlists of mine. if you're wondering about any in particular feel free to ask <3

it’s a shame more vampire media doesn’t pull from vampire bat behavior because they’re such sweeties. they can only survive their incredibly specialized diet because bats will share blood with colony members that didn’t find a meal! there’s evidence that suggests the donors sometimes initiate this behavior themselves by approaching hungry bats! the colonies are mostly harems of females with a few males but they’ve been observed letting unrelated males in when it gets cold so they can all stay warm! cute little social critters!
