In mokumokuren artwork it's really common for Hikaru to be positioned behind Yoshiki 👀

I think it's great visual storytelling. At first it creates a distance between the character and the viewer, giving the character the mysterious aura it deserves... like a living shadow

Also gives the feeling that Yoshiki has blind faith in him. Full trust on this creature he just recently met

Lastly the concept of Hikaru being the support he needs, someone he can lean on, watch his back, protect him

In the bridon arc CXS's mom seems so indifferent about her sons suffering at the loss of his own parents. In her mind, none of this is even "real" anyways. She just has to save her husband, and then everything will go back to how it's supposed to be.

This version of Cheng Xiaoshi, the one who grew up parent less and abandoned, won't even exist anymore. He isn't permanent.

It's a devastating contrast to Lu Guang who feels the weight of every single one of CXS deaths, of every version of him, even if he ultimately knows he too, isn't permanent .

I find the apparent differences between the Tenmas and Hinomoris’ reactions to having respective SEKAIs both really goofy and really sweet.

On one end, Shizuku is always and forever ecstatic when it comes to sharing things with Shiho, and particularly so when it comes to being able to relate to her. They don’t tend to consider their experiences which happen to overlap, but very much do bond over those when they do. “I’m glad we share something like this” is evidently going to be both of their takeaways here.

On the other, Tsukasa and Saki have always and forever been sharing things with each other, including their experiences, which very much overlap and allow them to understand and relate to one another. So, the fact that they’ve both experienced having something as extraordinary as a SEKAI and never brought it up? It’s less something to be giddy about more than it is something to get petty about. “We’ve shared so much with one another and understand each other in entirety, and you think your SEKAI would be incomprehensible to me?”.
