Thought why not repost the explorations that led to my #ScarletWitch redesign for Marvel comics I did in 2015. They wanted witchy fashion, dark but luxe, romantic and sharp.

I wish we could have interpreted her headpiece in a newer way, but we decided to go with something closer to her traditional crown.  I was gunning for the very first headpiece, which was more akin to jewels hugging the head, or the cat-like ears, which I thought would also be covered in crystals (obvi).

I’m super happy with the outfit we ended up on, but I also loved so many of the ones during the exploration phase. I believe in the 2015 comic she got to sport a few of these other looks, like the fitted trench coat.
