D&D stuff for another very brief campaign where we pillage explore islands on a BOAT, now on hiatus. I tried out playing a few new things: Soulbinder with a Bond of the Unknown (homebrew) and a UA Dhampir with a base race of half elf (sea elf / human). Now I have this religious pirate kid (Luyul) and his pet dog murder-insect-cat-dragon-lizard (Ro-Ro, named after Luyul’s god Oro). Also this smol kobold buddy. :) I did a ton of worldbuilding for this kid. Maybe sometime I’ll share a mood board or something. Aztec-void-ocean-bioluminescent-gold-eldritch horror type aesthetic. Basically: an excuse to paint gold and blue a lot and make fun glowy stuff. Like deep sea fish. And existentialism. Also Warframe ... so much Warframe.

MotW character stuff. I used a Monstrous playbook to make a parasite living in a human host (technically deceased). Thought it’d be fun to explore how memory, personality, and thought made a person or individual. Super weird to start off as a tiny alien piloting a flesh machine, but really fun. Also learning way too much about vehicles and what rich people do with way too much money.

Reference I’ve made for Sumezh & Vos, incl. the alphas of Lorkh (Black & Grey) and Sumezh’s kids (Ae’vese & Sear’se). The randoms at the top are personas Vos uses Disguise Self to imitate combined with the Actor feat.

Sometimes your D&D party is only rainbows and sparkles because one of you has Prestidigitation and is determined to become friends with everyone, but -

I figured since Sumezh was de-aged to be basically 15, the only way he should be represented now is anime. It’s the most accurate. Truly the only path forward. Truly.

I think I have a problem with fur and jackets  ...

Good end Sumezh running an orphanage for kids who've lost their parents to adventuring or other such casualties. Smiling and showing his face seriously makes him look like a different person.

He might've dissolved his pact with his hexblade patron due to living such a wholesome-ass life—or maybe Skullbird would let him keep it, believing tragedy would strike again eventually (it always seems to with Sumezh). Vos can't leave him alone anymore, so he's a fixture at the place. The kids apparently like bothering him about his arms and knives. And also about Sumezh.

He might have one or two issues as a kid. Maybe three.

I went through probably 5 different iterations of this piece before settling on something that I hope most monitors can show properly, cause apparently mine is super bright so everything looks dark to a lot of other people.

I made the worst / best decision of letting a friend tell me the gritty origin story of my own character based purely on ‘evidence’ uncovered during the campaign. And me reminding him that he’s got scars, which, of course, can only be inflicted by flora. Yes.

Comics of Sumezh and Vosahn being dumb cause one is a shit disturber and the other rolls with just about everything he does... for better or worse. Mostly worse.

Because Sumezh had undefined chunks of time in his backstory and wasn’t edgy enough on his own, I present to you Skullbird - his hexblade patron - and Vosahn - his Shadar-kai partner in crime. Both are from Shadowfell and enjoy a good dismemberment over tea.

So basically, excellent role models.
