So I heard HBO is rebooting Gossip Girl, and honestly I’m here for it.  Social media has changed so much since the days of the motorolla Razr.  They could honestly remake gossip girl every 20 years like A Star is Born, and I’d be here for it.

But we should not forget where we came from!  This is a screenshot of the bitch who sent the gossip girl tip that Serena was back in town and started the whole series.  We never see her again, but you can probably find her at Film Forum. You can just tell that this poor woman has seen Amelie one too many times.

Mommie Dearest! This look is one of my favorite looks in the entire show.  Blaire completely looks the part of a pampered little girl, and the cutseyness of the outfit goes well with the petty and childish way she acts in this episode.  This episode is also all about B’s relationship with her parents, so I love that they put her mother in a matching plaid ensemble.  Also I just like capes.

Here Jenny accessorizes her school uniform with a Tarina Tarantino necklace. Tarina Tarantino was a brand that was a very big deal at the time, and I’m very surprised to find, is still around. Although the brand has had a fall from grace and their recent stuff looks like the kind of stuff a middle aged divorcee would buy from a gift shop that also sells essential oils.  This is one of Jenny’s last wholesome looks, and it makes me yearn for simpler times, when putting pink rhinestones on stuff was considered fashion.

This skull print tie is the closest chuck gets to actual emo fashion, which is pretty hilarious for someone this dark and dramatic. LET CHUCK HAVE A FULL ON EMO PHASE!

Blaire is living life like she’s in a play. The black leggings are a seemingly basic choice for everyone’s favorite upper east side primadonna, but the pave crystal mask brooch adds that touch of extra that makes B a queen.  Also wearing those red peep-toe pumps with an all black outfit is super iconic, and reminds me of Sandy from Grease.  B’s wearing this outfit to schmooze with theatre kids, so I assume the reference is intentional.  This outfit is costume-y in the most endearing way I give it a 9/10
