Finally watching Stranger Things. I've gotten far enough to conclude that neither Hopper nor Joyce has the ability to throw anything with any resemblance of accuracy🙈

Does anyone else think about the fact that loving is a strength that help human beings survive?

Like, if love makes you weak evolution would not let that feature survive.

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is on fire. I’m not posting a pic bc it depresses me too much to look at it but here’s a source if you need one. Some things:

The fire started because of renovation work. It’s an accident, as far as anybody knows.

Because of the renovation work, a lot of the art (statues and things like that) in the cathedral had already been removed. Firefighters are working to save as much as possible

The stonework will probably survive 

This isn’t the first time the cathedral has been damaged. It’s 900 years old, and France has had a pretty bloody history in that time.

At this point the roof and spire are completely destroyed and the stained glass is lost

it’s awful. It’s awful to look at. It’s a horrible loss to all of us. Being sad is normal and you don’t have to feel stupid if you feel sad. 

It’s been rebuilt before and it’ll be rebuilt again.

It really irks me when someone says or does something woke but ends it by saying stuff like "it's 2019!"

I mean... Good on you for enjoying kissing the same sex, or supporting your female co-workers right to nurse while on the clock, or telling off your friends for using slurs, or applauding your trans neighboor. But the year we live in has got nothing to do with anything. It was always the right thing to do.
