I just keep reminding myself that progress is slow. Sometimes you feel like you aren’t moving at all. We all have our limitations, our setbacks, our obstacles. It’s how we face them and move forward, that shows our determination. I’m not saying to go out there and push through injuries, absolutely not. I’m saying it takes mental fortitude to know when to stop, to put down that competitive attitude and take care of your body. Life is not always a straight line, it is not always the linear progression you expect it to be. There are twists, turns, backward steps. There are cliffs you don’t think you will ever recover from. But you will get there. I will get there.

194 even! I'm so close to 20 lbs total lose I can feel it
Vanishing Act: I have lost 33lbs since January 2015. As a personal project I have been documenting the process by taking photos with some of my favorite foods (and sometimes weird stuff), in the total amount of weight I’ve lost.
Some close friends were inspired by these photos and encouraged me to post them. My weight loss journey started at over 270lbs. I recently weighed in at just under 240lbs for the first time in 10 years.
These photos inspire me to keep going and maybe they’ll inspire some other people out there too.
