How about...

Now that we can go in the ocean, why not be able to construct a local town pool, and be able to go in that too? And villagers could go in it too. ^-^ Complete with a lifeguard post you could climb, lounge chairs, etc~ It could tie into getting a tan, too, like maybe you would tan faster laying in the lounge chairs than just standing around. But it might take up too much space to be reasonable? =\

Digby and the Happy Homes Showcase

I think, what would be super cool, was if whenever there is new construction at your Happy Homes Showcase, Digby would be dancing when you go out to the main street. It would be cute and super helpful, so you know as soon as possible when you have a new house to look at!

New Owl Character

(Submitting because I ran out of room in the ask. ^^;;)

When I set out to catch a tarantula and scorpion, I had a train of thought that lead ultimately to "What if the animals could get hurt by bugs, too?" This lead me to imagine a new character: an awkward, clumsy little owl who dreams of joining the museum's crew, even though Blathers keeps telling her they don't need any more help. To prove her worth, she goes out to find rare donations herself. However, the player will occasionally find her tangled up in fishing wire, covered in bee stings, flailing in a pitfall when trying to dig up fossils, or sadly sitting outside Redd's tent after spending all her money on fake art. The player would offer to find whatever she had been searching for (and so miserably failed to obtain) that day, and delivering it to her would land the player an exclusive furniture piece themed around the museum--maybe ancient historical items? And maybe helping her find enough things would actually land her a spot in the museum?

It was just a cute little idea. XP

Villagers moving in

How about a public works project where you set up a plot of land for a villager to move onto, that way it's all clear for the next villager to move in taking that spot.

"The first gripe I'm sure a lot of people had with this game was the fact that villagers could move anywhere. In the next title, they should bring back Sign Boards as a cheap/fast public works project. They could cost only a few thousand, or maybe not take a full day to install. This would prevent any future villagers from destroying anything of value when they move in."

Our first idea is from candynook!

"Tanning Salons. One of things that I noticed after I got my tan (which I can't seem to get off), and reading through a couple of posts complaining that they couldn't get a tan, I thought: Why should getting the skin colour you want have to be so hard? This is a game that people of various skin types play, and since this is a game in which YOU are a character- why not create something that makes it easier to make your character LOOK like you?"

It can be a character, a feature, anything new that isn't in AC already (or, if you want to celebrate some of the brilliant ideas already in AC, you can send that my way too! Just mention the specific feature/char/etc that you want to celebrate.). You don't need artwork to illustrate your idea or anything (though I won't turn it down. ;3), just send it your ideas through either the ask or submit boxes.
