This is why the brushing aside of colonization because “well that was my ancestors not me” doesn’t work. You still benefit from it. You still perpetuate the effects of it. If white people weren’t like their ancestors? They would give these people their land back and let them decide how to move forward.
Denying them housing on their own land? Being in a position to do that? Is certainly as colonizer as it gets. You are living your ancestors dreams.
TITLE: Loki and the Witchling
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 1/?
AUTHOR: nekoamamori
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine you’re a healer working with the Avengers when Loki comes to join the team
RATING: T (so far)
NOTES/WARNINGS: Also on AO3 click here
After six months of living at the Avenger’s tower, you still couldn’t quite believe it was all real. You’d been helping the Avengers off and on for the last couple of years after you had come on their radar for healing Clint during a mission when you were fifteen. You didn’t go advertising your abilities. It was dangerous to do so, and scared your foster parents when they inevitably found out, but when Clint had gotten shot on a mission not five feet away from you, it was impossible not to go to him and heal his wounds.
Warnings: None. It’s just fluff and character building.
Summary: Soulmates were a gift to Asgard from the goddess Frigga, and her greatest gift was for her son Loki.
Notes: I originally intended for this to be only two parts, but I’ve had to break it into three parts... on account of the fact that part two ended up being 8 THOUSAND WORDS. I hope this turned out okay. It’s a bit of a change of pace from part 1 now that lore is established and I’m trying to cover the relationship of two literal immortals in just 3 chapters. Of note for this, Narfi is the name of Loki’s son with Sigyn in Norse Mythology. Not relevant to plot, just gives some explanation to this if y’all weren’t already aware. Thanks again to @this-issam for reading most of this through.
I intend to create a spin off of this that exists in the same soulmate universe, but isn’t a sequel and can be read before/after this or as a stand alone, that would focus on the Avengers more. Probably Cap or Bucky… Thoughts?
Previously On… Part One
(Y/n) stood alone in the center of a large octagonal room. It was more of a house than a room. She was fairly certain that, even with her family’s status as nobility, most if not all of her home could fit within the eight walls around her. If she started pacing off steps from one end to the other, she was sure it might take a hundred, maybe more.
“Feel free to make yourself comfortable,” had been Frigga’s last words before she left the room, but (Y/n) was absolutely certain that she could not make herself feel comfortable here any time in the foreseeable future.
All eight walls were lined with dark wooden shelves that were delicately stacked with books. There were no bookends to match the ones her father had at home. There was no need to force any book to remain upright. Every inch of space was being used. The only break from the stacks of texts were for a large golden fireplace directly across from the entrance and for three doors made of a dark wood brushed with intricate gold detailing that matched and blended in with the bookcases. There was a reverence, a superiority, to everything in the place. Each book was placed with care and had clearly been organized just so. The table between the entrance and one of the doors was cluttered with scrolls and texts as if someone had left in a hurry, yet nothing on its surface seemed out of place. The backless stool at the writing desk in the center gave a sense of urgency and purpose to the stack of letters piled in the ornate green box labeled for responses. Even the plush cushions on the pair of armchairs by the fire were utterly regal in design and placement. (Y/n) was scared to touch anything. It all seemed perfect and priceless. She felt as if she were in a museum.
(Y/n) had only been to a museum once thus far in her existence. There weren’t terribly many of them on Asgard. Most people lived long enough to experience most of Asgard’s history, but a small home deep in the valley, away from the capital, played host to a vast collection of artifacts from the Age of the Valkyries. It was a private collection, assembled by a scholar who was employed as one of Asgard’s official historians. He opened his home once every few years, whenever he had added a new piece to his collection. (Y/n) had gone down to visit nearly five decades ago when the man, she believed his name was Felman, announced he had acquired a Valkyrie’s sword. She never found out where he got it, but when (Y/n) saw it she knew it was the genuine article.
Summary: Thor brings reader back to Loki. Small flashback to reader’s past.
A/N: @aurora-sweet corrected a big mistake I made in the previous pic, thank you again. I’m not limiting timelines or characters’ past mostly to make it easier on me lol. Also smut in the next chapter, yay!
You had spent over a decade planting and nursing your Fotia's treasured healing flower, Middlemist Red Camellia. Before the explosion of the planet, Fotia was protected by flowers. They were a beautiful shade of the most vibrant red you can feast your eyes upon. When the sun hit the horizon and the wind skimmed through the flowers, it appeared to be a dancing and glowing fire.
You rubbed your temple as you remember the day of the sacrifice.
-
Aphrodite was on her way to tell her father and King, Zeus, about her last mission that went without a problem, but she heard the commotion of her people. Quickly she rushed to the side of her parents.
"King, what troubles the Camellias." Aphrodite questioned, petals hit the ground due to the vicious wind around them.
King Zeus's stare shook her core, she switched her sight to her brother, Apollo, who was gifted the sight of the future.
"Brother, what do you see?" She pleaded.
"I am afraid our time has come. Fotia must come to an end to save to heal their hearts and erase their grudges before a war to extinction." He revealed.
Gasps were heard around her as she swallowed hard, "Tell me, brother, is there a way to protect the people who reside here? We must board them on the airliner and harness Camell-" She rushed planning.
-
You fall to your knees while clutching your head, "Our home is nearly ready to protect again dear Titans." You whisper out in a kiss and send it out in sparkly flames.
You shake your head before returning to the task at hand only to look up and see the incoming bolt. "Don't be Thor, don't be thor." You whisper before redirecting the intruder to the only patch without the precious flowers. Walking over, you use your seidr to crush the intruder into the ground with force.
Thor lets out a low chuckle, "I was expecting a warmer welcome. I have missed you fire ant." He teases you about your unusual shortness in comparison to your Titaness heritage. Thor dusts himself off and gives you a big warm smile.
You roll your eyes, "What are you doing here again?" Thor ignores you and looks past you, "The flowers! You've done it!" He exclaims and pushes you to the side to get closer and brush his pinky against one, a rush of euphoria warms his heart.
You glare at him, "How is he?" You ask as you switch your gaze onto the field of flowers. Thor smiles sadly at you, "He's a mess, but when hasn't he without you." You remain silent.
“I heard you can use help, Mother wants your return to Asgard by tonight.”
-
You were nervous to be back, avoiding everyone, so no one alarms him of your return. What were you supposed to say to your past lover, How have you been? We used to have sex.”
“Thor, I told you, I am no mood to help you, especially if it’s that rash. Ask mother.” Loki huffs. “I told you to not bring that up. Will you just trust me! I am trying to make you happy.” He huffs before opening the door to the room you were in.
“Loki.” You whisper, but it was loud enough to grab the attention of your lover. He had a sour mood before but now a small hopeful smile adorns his face.
“Please be real.” He whispers as his hands twitch at his side. Thor pats his back, nudging him, “I’ll let you have some privacy.” Thor says before leaving Loki and you in the room. “I’ve missed you, lover. I’ve missed your touch.”
Loki shivers hearing you, his senses were going mad, so deprived. “You do remember me, Pet.” He inches forward, “Can I-can I hold you?”
You close the gap and he pulls you close to him, “I’m sorry Loki. Once I saw you, everything came back, but I had to leave and rebuild Fotia.”
“I could have helped you.” He says with hurt in his voice, “I understand your reasons, but the important part is that you’re in my arms now, Pet. I will always stand with you.” He whispers. Staring at you with such intensity that it makes an ache in between your legs. Shit, no no, bad thoughts.
Loki nose flares and he dives to your neck scenting your arousal, “I’ve missed your intoxicating smell, Amor.” He groans as he gropes your curvaceous hips before picking you up.
Wrapping your legs around him, you push your hips to him upon hearing the pet name, making him moan. Looking up innocently through your eyelashes, you smirk, as your eyes go down to his lips. Loki breathing hard, you inch dangerously slow to his lips before redirecting last second to the corner of his jaw. Loki grunts before grabbing your throat and keeping you still, his lips finally meeting your own. The kiss was slow but passionate, in sync with each other. You pull him closer, your heat rubbing against his hard length.
Biting his lip, you continue down his neck leaving small marks. “Fucking tease.”
Summary: Loki reunites with his past lover Venus who doesn't remember him and now goes by the name of Aphrodite
A/N: A bit about this story, Fotia is the planet of the fire titans, the planet sacrifices itself and most of its people for peace in their realms, the surviving princess, Aphrodite, is saved to restore her planet. She was once Venus but reincarnated as Aphrodite since the sacrifice.
This is just an idea that has been running through my mind but I am not putting a limitation like time-frame or characters. AU
You heard the rumble and ground shake before her eyes rolled to the back of your head and succumbing to the sweet darkness, but not before hearing a voice you swear your soul recognized.
“Oh Venus…” Thor whispers seeing his childhood best friend scattered with cuts and bruises, her breathing patterns uneven. He entered the ship while smiling down at the warrior, his eyes watering, “Loki will lose his mind, little one.”
**
You woke up feeling the most refreshed you have in a while and snuggled up into the warm fur around before you realized you had let your guard down. Opening your eyes, dread-filled, you swiftly kicked off the covers and ripped off wires, the heat of panic going down your spine as you hear a machine beeping annoyingly. Using seidr to mute your giveaway, you looked down to the unusual clothing on your body, too distracted to hear the entrance of a man. “I have missed you little one.”
Your back to him, your head snapped up before conjuring up red daggers in both hands, “I will fight to the death for my freedom, do you accept this fight?” You asked before finally turning your gaze to the tall golden god. The hurt in his eyes doesn't go by unnoticed, “Venus…Fire it is I, Thor.”
Your head began to hurt, “You are mistaken, I am not this Venus you speak of. Thank you for your hospitality but I must be on my way now.” You used seidr to get rid of your daggers and reached your hand to the god, “I go by Aphrodite, how may I repay you?” Thor pulled you into a hug, startling you. “You can leave as soon as you meet someone.” He smiles widely, his excitement making you smile.
**
Thor dragged you to his mother, Frigga, who looked shocked to see you stand before her, quickly pulling you into a hug. “I thought it was only a dream that I saw you back in Asgard.” You smile at the kind and delusional woman, “You must forgive me, but I am afraid you all have mistaken me. I am Aphrodite…”. You sensed her nature and pieced together enough information to know she was trustworthy. “…I am the daughter of Zeus and Dione. I must get back to Fotia, please.” You rarely pleaded, both Asgardians full aware of what must have happened for you to reincarnate.
“Ven- pardon, Aphrodite, has Fotia sacrificed itself?” Frigga questioned softly, you swallowed hard, you looked down with furrowed eyebrows, “You must be who mother wanted me to find.” You kneeled on one knee, using seidr to call your scepter and hitting it on the floor. You raised your head as your clothes change into your red, wine, and gold warrior armor.
Frigga reached out to help you stand up, bringing a flower she swore to protect with her life. Her hand on your cheek, she smiles, “I wish you the best in restoring your planet, Fotia, but you must go before Loki sees you.”
“Does he pose a threat?” You question as you begin to call for your daggers, Frigga stopping you. “Norns no, he is your past twin flame, before reincarnation. If I am right, as soon as you lock eyes, you will remember everything.” She smiles sadly
Thor huffs, “And what is wrong with that! Loki has suffered enough and I will not allow you to leave again little one.” His mother quick to quiet him, “Her body is too weak to handle the trauma, it will possibly take a toll on her heart and soul!” Frigga insists.
**
Everyone too focused to notice Loki’s sly entrance. His body is in too much shock to move and reach out to you, “Pet, you’re here.”
Aphrodite looks up to stare at Loki, euphoria coursing through her veins, “Hello Lover.” She teases, her past yearning for him. Using seidr to put cages of red seidr around both Thor and Loki.
She looks to Frigga, “I must go.” She sadly whispers. Frigga offers a small but encouraging smile, “Be back as soon as you plant it and then some. I will do everything to help on my end. I wish you the best of luck, Aphrodite.”
