In Thailand there are 3 seasons: Summer ( ฤดูร้อน ), Rainy Season (ฤดูฝน), and Winter ( ฤดูหนาว). Summer season is usually between mid-February to mid-May, the Rainy Season is from mid-May to mid-October, and Winter is from mid-October to mid-February. During the rainy season, it will rain everyday but not all day. Floods will also happen and monsoon winds should be expected during the rainy season. Thai “Winter” is not actually cold. It is cooler but is more like a regular summer in the US or Europe. Winter is also the best time to visit Thailand, but since it is practically warm all year round, any other time of the year is fine too. There is no Spring or Autumn in Thailand but there are still words for these seasons.
