When I jumped off Tumblr a few months ago, I unfollowed a lot of the Ninjago blogs I liked. Most were pretty inactive, it was spring cleaning for the most part, but there is a huge problem with that:

Where the fuck was misako when Lloyd got expelled from Darkleys boarding school? Who was taking care of him before the ninja took him in? Where was he sleeping? "My research is important" So is your 12 year old CHILD but go off I guess

Pretty sure he was 10 or 11 when he got kicked out, and as far as we know he’s been going around committing small thefts. Maybe Garmadon was looking out for young Lloyd with the skeleton army, cause despite being all evil he cared deeply for his son.

Meanwhile Misako, believing that Lloyd would be the green ninja, choose to spend nearly a decade tryna keep that from Lloyd instead of raising him.

Also, why didn’t Misako leave Lloyd with Sensei Wu???? He could’ve given Lloyd much more than Darkley’s school can. Instead of leaving your son with a very trusted & good natured BIL, leave your child at a reckless school where they don’t have the best morals & teachings just so he has the chance to not be the green ninja. Like, what the ever-loving fuck Misako???

I saw someone mention how she might've had Morro in mind when deciding against leaving Lloyd with Wu, but- she could've given him to some family she knew or just found him a loving and caring family to take him in. That way she could be sure she could trust who she left him with and she could always reach out to them if she did want to meet with Lloyd... a part of me feels like she didn't want that tho, she didn't want Lloyd to make connection... maybe in case of something happening to him during the final battle, or maybe she was afraid that he would prioritize differently if he had a real loving family.

Or maybe, if we go completely conspiracy theory, her and Wu agreed to leave him at Darkleys, knowing how they'd treat him, knowing he'd be an outcast and feel alone and unwanted. Maybe it was all a plan, to get a perfect green ninja. A puppet. Someone who'd be willing to do everything expected of him, because he just wanted people to love him. And if we go super deep, they could've been instructed by the FSM

one time as a kid I forcefully shoved two magnets together, and these were the strong magnets my dad used in his shop to pick-up missing little metal bits, and I held them really tightly in the palm of my hand, went up to this one kid who legit said things like “I think black cats are bad, they should be drowned” and drew crosses on the notebooks of kids if she found out they didn’t go to church, I told her “Hey. I’m a witch. If you don’t stop trying to hurt animals and picking on kids, I’ll use my magic to throw you into the sky”, and when she dared to doubt my powers I told her that I had two “rocks” in my hand that I could send across the playground, then I opened my hand the the magnets shot off in two different directions (we were over in a spot that was empty, so no other kids were around, nobody got hurt), one of them stuck to a drainpipe and the other stuck to a fence. This kid SCREAMED, and ran to the office, and I guess had her mom pick her up from school, and then she wasn’t there for a couple of days, finally her mom called my house and claimed I had “traumatized her daughter by performing a terrifying magic trick”, and when my parents asked what I did I just said “I showed her a magnet and she flipped out. She’s not gonna be happy when she finds out about gravity, either”. eventually this kid came back to school and always made a point to come up to me and say “Hey, my mom told me not to talk to you!”, and would just be like “Good job, you already screwed that up”
