you think too much
all i've ever felt is love though it's twisted and seizing begging to be put out of the pain i stayed and craddled it near
all i remembered was the smell of rain the brightness burning into my skull the flowers that grow out of my scalp the bunnies cramped in my ribcage
when i first found the moon in the sky i was wondering what it was doing today when the sun should've made it disappear it didn't care what i had to say, it shined bright anyways
so laying on this corduroy love seat now holding hands and breathing in mildew i realize i was born for this sole moment our sweaty hands entangled in july
they sold me genocide and war it's nothing i want to understand the misery i see walking down the street i see it in her eyes as she scans my bread
i see it in every bar i walk into speaking nothing through an open mouth they sew the jaws shut of everyone who ate too much i lay there still as they cut me open with vitriolic hate
i open the chamber and find a dud it failed to fire, or it was never meant to as i was thrown to the ground my wrists behind my back
all they had to ask me was why and i look around the room, i looked at them i thought that would tell them everything but they couldn't stand to understand
