I read the manga ''Yon'' by Camille Broutin and it was amazing!

Yon 2 & 3

I've recently read through both chapters 2 and 3 of YON and I really can't sell how much I love that I gave it a chance. I loved following Margot's plans and how the other students act, especially Dan. Each character has a reason why they choose to do something, which is in line with their personality and the information that they have at that point. Sometimes I feel that the cast of characters are somewhat bloated. But Broutin focuses on the most important characters to tell their story. Trying to avoid spoilers, not one character is "stupid". If you couldn't already tell, I love character driven stories. I know that I've already said this but the characters have reasons behind their actions! I feel like Broutin could've had more than four books just going through more interactions between characters, maybe that's just me. I want an English translation of this so I can recommend it to more people. Give me an animated version too, there are a few parts where it just calls for it, I mean the gorgeous impact frames. I'm sad that I have to wait until September for the last chapter. I just hope chapter 4 sticks the landing, at least from what I've read throughout the books we're in good hands.

I can't wait to read whatever Camille Broutin makes after YON. When the full English translation comes out, I'll be forcing everyone to read it!

YON - Tome 1: YON is a manga* where a bunch of students get stuck in an abandoned building that was caused by an event with these 'creatures' falling from the sky. It's criminal that more manga don't get localised. YON is one of those I'd love to see get an English translation so that more people can read. At least with the first chapter, YON reminds me of 'Lord of The Flies', which I've been looking for something like that for ages. There aren't enough people talking about YON, because it's in French. Mangas - or a bande desinée in this case - should be translated for the rest of the world experience these stories.

Please, give it a chance even if you have Google Translate to be able to read it!
