     Robin was in town, alone with the simple task of gathering supplies. While he was browsing, he overheard a few civilians panicking about a kidnapping, its victims being held within a large storehouse for ransom.  He was tempted to head back to camp and round up who ever could possibly be available, but time was of the essence. If no one gave into their demands by the time he got back to camp, the hostages could be harmed or worse.

     Rather than head back to camp, Robin marches down the cobblestone path to the alleged site, fingers curling tightly around the binding of his Thunder tome. He is sure that he could come up with a plan that would both outsmart and bewilder them-- maybe surprise attack them through one of the windows and swoop in while the rest of them are dazed—or perhaps there was another idea that he could possibly try?

     When he finally arrives, the door is wide open. No one appears to be guarding it either—was this some sort of trick? No, there was no way a bunch bandits, reckless enough to pull a crime like this, could afford to leave the building they seized without protection of the exterior. Robin walks even faster, stepping into the dim warehouse. As his eyes struggle to adjust to the darkness, he can barely see the figure of a tall man crowned with blue hair. Naturally, Robin assumes it is somebody he knows.

      “Chrom!? I thought you were back at camp--!” No, that isn’t right; he isn’t Chrom. This guy’s much taller, and his outfit is quite different. He starts to trip over his own words, quite embarrassed about calling out the wrong name so confidently. “Y-you’re not. . . Who are you? Did you stop them?”

     Rook fared quite well in the last few fights alongside the Nohrians, but victory feels bittersweet. After spending some time with them, the tactician expected to be close with some of his allies-- yet, it feels as if the rift between them widened. Who could blame them? Not everyone understood where exactly he came from ( neither did he ), and that easily provoked suspicion. Perhaps greater reservations rooted from the fact that he handled himself so well in combat despite claiming an inability to remember anything; or maybe it was the possibility that a guarded nature is commonplace here; maybe it is a mixture of the two. 

      Regardless, he would neither last long nor would he serve Kamui effectively if he could not earn the trust of those around him; greater strides are needed. Who would he approach first? He sees a knight close by. His name was fresh in Rook’s mind-- Silas-- memorable for his strong bond with their leader.

       The tactician immediately approaches, but apprehension settles into his heart with each step. Rook’s shoulders tense up and his front teeth dig into his bottom lip. When he opens his mouth to speak, he nearly scrambles to respectfully remove his hood ( he almost forgot to ). Why is this so difficult? Perhaps he wanted things to work out more than he ever realized.

     “I wouldn’t be surprised if you were the most wary of me.

      The two of you are very close, aren’t you?”

    It’s strange, calling out to someone with the same name as one’s own self, without any clear contrast of nomenclature between them.  While they were already quite familiar with one another, their situation dictated that they focus on their jobs as tacticians, so there had been no time to clear this up-- not until now. 

     “I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time. . .

      What are we going to do about having the same names?”

any lasting injuries from combat?  — very few. robin is a very cautious and intuitive fighter, capable of anticipating the actions of his opponent and the odds of how he will fare in a fight. while he uses both tomes and blades, he prefers to fight at a distance using the former-- this keeps him safe from the large variety of close-ranged fighters and his options open. a majority of injuries and scars sustained from combat are because of fellow long-ranged fighters-- archers, other mages, ninja, etc.
