Flipping through the channels and found this random show on Nick called Victorious which features a kid named Matt Bennett who reminds me of a very young Andy Samberg...future of comedy?

When and how did you know you wanted to be a comedian? "When I was about 17, I saw a Second City show in Chicago with my girlfriend (now wife). It was so good and I knew that’s what I wanted to do."

How would you define your comedic style? "My style is a lot like Spuds McKenzie, I love dogs with sunglasses on."

Where does your material come from? "Mostly from hanging out with friends and trying to make each other laugh."

Comedians tend to be open books; is there anything you wouldn’t joke about? "The City of Detroit. I love it too much."

What would you be if not a comedian? "Centerfield for the Detroit Tigers."

If you could meet any comedian (alive or dead) who would it be and why? "Oliver Hardy. I would love to get him into a fine mess."

What’s your favorite thing about being a comedian? "My favorite thing is when you and the audience think the same things are funny. And I get to sleep in on Mondays."

How did you get your start? "I started by taking classes at the Second City in Detroit. I had a lot of great teachers who really guided me, including Antoine McKay and Keegan Michael Key."

Name three skills (other than being funny) that someone in your role needs to possess. "Thick skin, friends who are funny, and the ability to challenge yourself."

The Comics Comic is reporting that SNL has brought in Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson to join the cast. They're starting in time for the season's premiere on September 15

Unscientific poll results:

I posted simple pictures of each cast member - no quotes, nothing particularly attractive about any of the pictures to see how often they'd get reblogged.  Results:

Observations: the bottom of the list were posted for longer, so I'd expect them to have more reblogs.  So I'm surprised Fred has 1 when Jay has 2 and he was posted last.

People who had more than I expected: Kate McKinnon (maybe this is a good sign for the upcoming season?) and Bobby

People who had less than I expected: Paul (out of sight out of mind?), Seth (he was posted near the begging and I consider him one of my favs)

Conclusion: It's been way too long since I've had a new SNL to watch.. please come back!!
