But then I remember that you have good intentions Even when you’re aggro you do me a mention

When we are both salty a sight to behold rolling eyes at Sarah whom we want to scold

But because we are nice (though we’re more than that) we switch off our brains that is our sole vice

You teach me ‘bout Freud and Saussure and Lacan I’m not nearly as sassy but I help with your plants

And that’s how it’s seen: our friendship is “goals” as said by a person her name is Xueqi.

If i hadn’t known you I think I’d just die but now we’re together and so we just cry.

The Obscure Cities is a graphic novel series set on a counter-Earth, created by the Belgian comics artist François Schuiten and his longtime friend, writer Benoît Peeters, in the early 1980s. In this fictional world, humans live in independent city-states, each of which has developed a distinct civilization, each characterized by a distinctive architectural style.

I get it. It’s lonely being a lesbian sometimes.

Meeting someone special just seems impossible. A girlfriend? Me? Yeah right…I wish! Where do you find one of them? Forever Alone, amiright?!

It’s so much easier for straight girls, you think. If success in romance is a numbers game, then the hets have clearly got the advantage. Finding another lesbian is like finding a needle in a haystack. Finding one to date - harder still.

But still…you daydream about it, sometimes. You imagine how nice it would be to come home to someone that you love…someone whose smile makes your heart skip a beat every time she looks at you. You think about her as you go about your real life sometimes. You visit some place that inspires you, and you wish that she were there to share it. You read something interesting and you wish that you could talk to her about it. You’ve never met her, but you feel her absence like an ache nonetheless.

But here’s the thing - she’s real, and she’s out there, probably daydreaming about you too. And irrespective of whether it takes you a month or a decade to find each other, the end result is going to be the same…

You’re going to be happy, and you’re going to be loved, and all the waiting is going to be worth it 💕

Nef goes on to explain the difference between her photoshoot with Velencoso, versus how transgender women are typically photographed in fashion editorials. “images of trans femmes being loved rarely exist outside of pornography,” Nef wore. “We tend to be hyper-sexualized and objectified within the cisgender gaze. Either that or we’re dehumanized as scum or (just as bad) untouchable goddesses.”
