Character: Usotsuki
From: Yume Nisshi
Gender: Trans girl
Why: in my opinion many of the effects you can get in the game seem to center around femininity (pink dress, ribbons, etc) and even bodily changes (chimera effect) but the reason I believe she’s a trans girl is because a lot of the areas and events in the game have a theme of body image or insecurity. For example one event near the hospital curtains area, seeing the body tied up. It might be symbolic of feeling trapped in her biological body. Hospitals tend to make you feel like that. When you encounter mirrors in the game, the face is scribbled out. She doesn’t want to view herself the way she is now, but (to me) feels happy in the areas with other girls and beautiful dolls. Some dream worlds have body parts or dolls in them. This could be nothing or it could be more symbolism.
Now take into consideration her name, Usotsuki. Liar. Then think about the bag effect, covering her face. Others in her waking life could very well be unsupportive of her. Be it her peers or her parents, she’s sealed herself away in her room for a reason. In her dream life she dreams either of the scariness of the real world or finally being at ease and being able to be herself!

Can you explain the duwang thing? I've always been confused about that.
Yeah absolutely. Duwang’s the name for the first (and for a long time the only) English-language Diamond is Unbreakable fansubs available online. Basically they were a really bad English translation of a Chinese translation of the original Japanese, apparently they were done as a group project by some Chinese students for their English class. They’re also the origin of ton of Jojo memes:
fwiw Duwang’s the mistranslated name for Morioh:

"These are were among the only known screenshots of the mysterious PSX game "treats". The game was made for the Playstation 1 and slated for release in 2000 by Coville, but that date was pushed to halloween of 2001. The game was never released...Until, 18 years later, a 'new' version resurfaced distributed by Coville Games and ValleyGirl Games. Instead of a polished remake we were hoping for, it was the same game running within a custom emulator that was likely stolen. Treats maintains the unofficial record for "longest [video game] to be in beta" of all time at exacly 18 years, and counting..." [x]
