Ok, question for the braiding community.

I'm trying to learn cornrows (going unsuccessful for now) and I was wondering if there was a difference in making a Dutch braid and a cornrow braid? Like, I've seen tutorials and stuff and I've noticed that they are similar to making a Dutch braid (ik how to make a Dutch braid on myself and others) but they don't turn out the way they should. Help.
