I think more portal fanfic writers should take advantage of the fact that glados *is* the facility.

HOT TAKE: black & cyan are not a good ship

Ive been seeing a lot of ship art and posts of them, and you don't have to give a shit about this but i'M just spreading my own opinion

First: they have little to no chemistry, despite them seeming to pair up at the start of series due to their similar job branches, it's been clear that black does that reciprocate any sort of relationship with cyan past acquaintances/co-workers and has been even passive aggressive towards them (supported by this quote: "I'M and geologist, cyan is a GEMologist")

Second: black is very apathetic towards cyan. During the scene right before cyan death, we can see black and cyan arguing and cyan is very clearing in a emotionally vulnerable state, trying their best to convince black to care at all for them, black remains to be completely unfazed, providing zero comfort or acknowledgement to cyan concerns, and NO. IT'S NOT JUST "TOXIC YURI".

Third : "black cares! They missed them when they died!" Yeah, when they DIED. Imagine you have a feud with a person for quite some time and you talk to them often yet you don't care, if they died you'll always feel bad and maybe even grieve! Does that mean youve always cared? No of course not, so doesn't black. Yes; they did miss them a lot after their death, but that doesn't mean they had any sort of feeling towards them before so. No the low oxygen scene does not count, their autonomy was heavily alerted due to the low oxygen.

I don't entirely hate the ship! I like it to some degree, but its certainly not the best and I hate seeing it being glazed like it is.
