Thinking ‘bout how Merlin and Lancelot would write to each other

Nah but how do you think it started? Because I like to think that the first one was from Lancelot to Merlin, which just arrives one day completely out of the blue after months of nobody knowing if he was even still alive or not after Hengist. It’s not a long note and full of mis-spellings, just asking after how everyone is. Merlin drops literally everything to send his reply.

And it all just develops from there. Merlin keeps all of them. Because he has to keep moving around, Lancelot can’t keep a lot of what he receives from Merlin. Just the ones that reached him in the far darker moments.

It was so dumb that Morgana just had Lancelot off himself. You want to go take over Camelot right, that’s a whole extra soldier right there, you coulda just had Agravaine help him escape.

I was going to say it’s kind of a shame there wasn’t an episode of Merlin where the knights have to look after a baby but then I realised they’d probably all be really great with kids actually
