he tells thomas that he, thomas, should tell, should instruct logan what will happen. because logan’s aspirations were never met - logan’s goals and personal wants were abandoned long ago. now, he’s just another ragdoll for thomas to play around with. “you tell me“ because he follows thomas’ instructions, seemingly forever and always. he’s thomas’ personal devotee and martyr.
and the way this absolutely juxtaposes the other sides who HAVE personal wants, wishes, and expectations for the series. the others have expectations and believe in them with much conviction but he asks thomas to tell him what he should do because he is hollow.
or if he isn’t, he doesn’t prioritize his personal beliefs. thomas tells him what he should do, because thomas’ word is gospel to him, and logan is nothing.
and the way he said this so immediate yet casual, like he’s grappled with this idea for so long. and now, he’s just admitting defeat. you tell me, he says without a flinch, because he has wholeheartedly accepted that his word means nothing to the others. he wholeheartedly accepts that he bears no weight in this supposed family.
