@illulia
Hey Iām not dead!Ā Obi-Wan is having a rough day. . . Also, this might be how 2019 made me feel.Ā
Caleb Widogast.Ā I've been a Critical Role fan for years now, but Iāve never drawn fanart for it before.Ā Maybe one day Iāll even play Dungeons and Dragons myself (if I can overcome my shyness and find people to play with).
More Critical Role fanart to follow, likely!Ā For those who like my Star Wars related sketches, I plan on resuming those as well when time and energy permits.Ā Cheers!
I was going to add a whole bunch of clone troopers and make it super epic, but then my energy tanked.Ā I picked a hard angle and all the geometry of the armor. . .Ā Goodness.Ā I probably just need to be more patient.Ā Perhaps I will revisit this soon and turn it into what I see in my head.
Itās past 2am, because who needs sleep when there are Obi-Wan portraits to be painted!
I rediscovered this illustration while browsing through my folders.Ā I never posted it because I never got around to polishing it off.Ā Itās unlikely that I ever will, so here it is.Ā Almost thirteen year old Obi-Wan Kenobi battling draigons.Ā The scene is from one of the Jedi Apprentice novels.
A style experiment using some of my favorite Star Wars characters.Ā I donāt know why Obi-Wan is so surly today.Ā Heās also kind of glaring straight at the viewer.Ā Yikes.Ā Qui-Gon is. . . I donāt know. . . Quietly amused?Ā And Satine is completely oblivious to the moods of the two Jedi next to her.Ā Probably getting another anti-violence argument ready for the next time the two Jedi have to ignite their lightsabers to protect her from bounty hunters.
Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi and Duchess Satine Kryze. . . I hope we one day get a novelisation that covers the story of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's mission to protect her. I didn't really know what I wanted to do when I started drawing this, and I think it shows, haha! Ā Something something, protect the duchess, something something, duchess thinks she can reason with bounty hunters, something something. Ā The rope came out of nowhere, so let's just pretend Qui-Gon is up there somewhere getting ready to pull the duchess up. Ā I could probably spend a great deal of time adding more detail to this and refining, but I think I'm going to leave it here. I'll have to put more thought into the next drawing.
Another Star Wars sketch! As soon as my friend said ālow lightā for the next prompt my mind immediately sprang to those martial arts movies where they train against the setting sun. Ā And because Iām still drawing all things Obi-Wan, this happened. Ā With Obi-Wan being a practitioner of the Alchaka meditations (as written in the Wild Space novel), I figured itās something heād pass on to Anakin. So here we have Anakin in the background, sort of spastic still, and Obi-Wan standing on one hand with the ease that comes with years of training.
Another sketch I drew for the prompts I do with my friends on our shared art blog.
For the fourth drawing prompt with my friends,Ā āwaitingā!Ā Iām still riding the Star Wars wave, so for this prompt I imagined a Jedi master and padawan (probably a young Obi-Wan and Anakin) waiting in a spaceport near a fussy baby.Ā The master is all calm and meditating, and the padawan loses his grip on serenity every time he hears the baby wail.Ā Itās an exercise in patience and compassion (and if youāve ever been on a long flight sitting near a mother and child, you know what Iām talking about).
Reblogging from the drawing space I share with my friends!
I need to practice action scenes/poses, and so this happened.Ā At first I only drew Obi-Wan, and then a Togruta and a human child snuck in there somehow. . . And then space background happened because itās Star Wars.Ā I really love Star Wars.Ā I need more Obi-Wan Kenobi content in my life.
I donāt really need an excuse to draw Obi-Wan Kenobi, but it was fun to give myself one.
Re-blogging from the shared art blog I have with my friends.
For prompt 2!Ā Uuuh I donāt know what this is.Ā I drew it skinny first, kind of like a greyhound, but then I thought it needed a winter coat, and then it turned into a goat-sheep-horse-dog thing.Ā With face tentacle-whiskers O_OĀ Also its hind-quarters look sheered like a poodleās.Ā Letās call this an artistās equivalent of free-writing?
Hereās my dragon for the first prompt!Ā No wings, no fangs, and furry.Ā This fella is an expert climber, eats giant bugs, and the natives probably domesticated it.
Sketchy-doodle-things
Commissioned piece.
A while back I wanted to draw Kakashi at different ages, and this was the result.
