❝ Huh… it’s them huh ? ❞ Well, he can’t say he minded the teen misfits of Vongola—- they were a much more pliable counterpart, a tad more amiable, although Fran’s family of assassins can’t be described as such —– was there a reason for that ? for them to come from different timelines ? or perhaps it’s just one of those random instances? Inquiries he can’t focus on when there is a much more important task at hand (or rather person) ❝ Yeah… I just uh, Byakuran-san ? Remember him ? There’s a younger one running around. ❞ & aside from him, Shoichi haven’t come across any other familiar face , possibly because he had been huddle up inside his room.
❝ Um, so—- how long have you been here ? how are you ? ❞ There were a lot of questions he wanted to ask, how did he arrived in this place ? has he tried leaving ? was there anything strange in this town ? Why were they even here ? did he know? & yet he settled for an ‘ how are you ’ , couldn’t help himself but check on Fran before anything else. It has been awhile after all. ❝ I was worried about you. ❞ He admitted, an embarrassed sort of chuckle leaving parted lips. Well, now he feels like a teenager.
{✘} » — "I’d recognize my master and Chrome anywhere. It’s them,” he confirms, providing a curt nod of his head. At least this time he was spared from having to explain why he was no longer ten years old and the former apple hat was nowhere in sight. It was the matter of why that he was still unable to provide an answer for. Despite his time here, he had yet to come any closer to finding that reason. And the bigwigs around here seemed intent on keeping it that way.
It’s the mention of the other’s former employer that draws his attention back, and his expression reflects his distaste with the person in question. Fran’s lip purse. “Yeah, I’ve already had the displeasure of running into the stale marshmallow. I can honestly say I would have rather run into Bel-senpai. Or a wall.”
Though he doesn’t intend to elaborate on the details, he figures the mention of his unpredictable partner alone would make his feelings on the matter abundantly clear. But the irritation is just as rapidly abated by Shoichi’s apparent concern.
“Worried, huh?” That wasn’t a word he heard often, particularly not with respect to himself. The mafia world left little room for worrying about people. Even more so in his neck of the woods with the Varia. And he could barely recall the last time someone else asked how he was. Maybe Chrome the last time he saw her back home, but she was an outlier. But, then again, so was this one before him. He’d forgotten what it felt like to have a friend.
“I’ve been here a few months, I guess. Like I explained to my master, time seems to flow differently here than back home. But alternate futures have nothing on this place, I can tell you that much,” Fran explains. At least the other hadn’t been around for the duration of the zombie infestation. “I mean, I’m alive, so I figure that counts for something. You’re kinda putting me on the spot here, but the way I see it, everyday I’m here, I don’t have to deal with the fake prince or the perverted catfish. I’ve been worse.” If anything, he was probably about as close to okay as he could be.
“...How are you holding up? It’s a lot to take in at first, but you get used to it.”
