@illusoryphysicist
If you had so much money that you never had to work again (but were physically able to etc.), would you choose to work? (If you’re already in this situation, choose what you actually did.)
Yes, I’d do the same job I have now.
Yes, but I’d switch to a lower-paying but more fulfilling job.
Yes, but I’d choose to pursue a creative career.
Yes, but I’d start my own business.
Sort of. I’d volunteer or otherwise work without pay.
I wouldn’t work per se, but would devote a lot of time to a hobby.
I’d just relax, have fun, do whatever.
I’m not sure/Other

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.
When I was a kid watching tv was idiot coded and nerds read books, but now scrolling shortform videos is considered braindead behavior and watching tv means you're some kinda intellectual. You might think this shifting assessment of media's consumers might make readers into absolute super geniuses, but no. Only perverts read now.
if you want to dress gay but aren’t sure how, you need to focus more on finding clothes you actually like and that make you feel good when you look in the mirror. develop your style independently of what you think looks gayest and trust the homosexuality will follow. it goes where confidence and self acceptance are
I have to add that gender euphoria for cis people doesn't always come from like, conforming to your gender in a "stereotypical" way
I've always been very comfortable with my gender but I didn't Really Like being a woman until I cut my hair short and started dressing/presenting more "masculine."
When i realized that I could look "manly" as a woman I truly felt comfortable and really...more "like" a woman. I enjoy being masculine and it strengthens my connection to womanhood and it's just kinda cool
witnessed this in real time after giving my then-3-year-old daughter a pixie cut. Once people started assuming she was a boy, because at the time she was neck deep in a spiderman phase, she started having symptoms of gender dysphoria. Both of her moms being under the trans umbrella, we could recognize it very easily. She started wearing exclusively pink and dresses after that and she's never looked back. She still loves short hair but opts for a bob instead.
She was so gorgeous in these outfits I die every time
One very funny thing about Severance to me is how like, they reveal Ms. Cobel lives next to Mark and I thought "oh wow the company really keeps a tight eye on their employees." Then time goes on and it becomes increasingly obvious that no actually this woman is just a huge freak about Mark specifically. She's baking him weird cookies. She's breaking into his house. She's making him spend time with his dead wife he doesn't remember. She's skipping work to pretend to be his sisters lactation consultant. She's going to parties with him and hugging him when he says he'll quit Lumon. I'm obsessed with how much she's obsessed with him I need to know what her fucking deal is.
Thank you to the 900 people who completed the John Rich & The Big Picture exit survey! 😭 AND THE 340+ PEOPLE WHO COMMENTED ON THE LAST CHAPTER!!!! If you haven't read it, read it here before it's gone!
The consensus is that: - this novel is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud - you will fall in love with John (as he's falling in love with a big adorable man) - you'll want a sequel

Tiger found caged in abandoned home gets second chance at wildlife sanctuary: ‘He seems to be so happy’
The estimated 350-pound tiger was transported to the facility, an affiliate of the Humane Society of the United States, on Wednesday afternoon, and is settling in well, Almrud said. There, he will have the chance to roam in enclosures of up to three acres.
Almrud, who estimates him to be about 2 years old, described the moment he first walked onto the grass at the sanctuary as remarkable.
“It was just amazing to see him walk out on grass and to see him explore and have that freedom of movement,” she said. “It was just such a reward and fulfilling to us.”
Now, he spends his days rolling around the grass in glee, Almrud said.
“He comes right up to the fence every time a staff member is present,” she said. “He seems very amenable to our presence.”
The tiger is eating well – a combination of chicken, humanely raised non-processed beef and whole prey complete with organs and bones. It appears that he was being fed chicken, which is what owners of exotic cats often feed them, but chicken alone does not provide the complete nutrition they need to thrive, Almrud said.
In addition, caregivers are tasked with keeping the tiger mentally stimulated by creating “pretend hunting” games and rotating him through different areas so he has access to new smells and environments to explore.
“He seems to happy and content,” Almrud said. “Our staff is just falling in love with him.”
Just an update! Since I got curious and the og post is from 2019.
His name is Loki now! In June he celebrated his 7th birthday at the sanctuary where he lives and thrives. Here’s a few pics of the boy:

“abs or biceps?” in this generation a brain would be fabulous.
The first recorded use of "I feel like a million bucks" was in 1902.
Adjusted for inflation, in order to feel as good as a person in 1902 who felt like a million bucks, a person in 2026 would need to feel like 38,831,628 dollars.
