one of my favorite things about star trek 2009 is that somebody said ‘pause on spirk. it’s time for MY otp.’ and then proceeded to give bones and kirk 10 different ao3 tropes. they meet at their respective rock bottoms (the doctor threatens to throw up on his future captain), kirk gives mccoy a nickname based off their first conversation, they went to school together, oh my god they were roommates, bones sneaks jim to space bc 1. he knows how badly kirk wants to go out to the black 2. he doesn’t want to go without him (it’s their shared dream now). like ok diva yes take charge give the people karl urban will be making eyes at chris pine I see the vision
