1. i don’t reread books as much as i rewatch movies and tv but i think i have read “forget this ever happened” by cassandra rose clarke about 3 times? one thing about me i love a weird genre-bending magical realism book with a bonus sapphic love story

15. gonna go with a slightly niche one since i could wax poetic about atmosphere but i won’t be saying anything original or new. one i read this year that i thought was a super fun concept and lived up to it was “say a little prayer” by jenna voris. a girl who left the church after coming out as bisexual and also once her older sister was shunned for getting an abortion has to go to a week long bible camp where she plans to commit all seven deadly sins to prove the world isn’t that black and white. she’s also in love with her best friend who just happens to be the preacher’s daughter because OF COURSE. i really liked all the younger characters, i was actually laughing out loud at some of the dialogue, the progression of the relationship between riley and julie was really well done, and the chapter titles were so fun and whimsical - bring back whimsy!! also capture the flag
