i admit i am getting wary whenever people vaguepost about a fandom being 'full of drama' because a lot of people seem to use 'drama' as a synonym for like. discussions of bigotry and bias in media. which is so very much not the same thing and it hurts my head to see it conflated with shipping wars and headcanon discourse.

i really wish that people could talk about paralives without the ghost of sims (4, mostly) haunting the narrative. some people getting into it really are carrying their jilted ex lover energy into a game that should not be saddled by electronic art's shit. paralives does not have to be what you wanted sims 5 to be. but then you also have the sims players dealing with their shit with their ex-lover the sims by glossing over all the issues currently present in paralives, which is also not the energy you should be bringing to an early access game
